Tommy POV

"Why are you being so mean?" Tommy whined, tugging on Wilbur's sleeve.

Wilbur rolled his eyes, turning back to his guitar. "Go cry somewhere else Toms, I'm not in the mood." he said, clearly irritated.

Tommy felt his heart sink at his words. He hadn't really asked for much, just someone to hang out with. Hanging out with Wilbur or Techno was the only thing that made school bearable to him. They would always listen to him and understand his frustrations. After a while it did seem to become annoying, much to Tommy's sadness.

Today had already been a long day. The only thing Tommy had looked forward to was hanging out with his older brothers. But now that seemed like an impossibility. The last thing he wanted to do was annoy them.

He sighed, walking out of Wilbur's room. Maybe Techno wouldn't mind hanging out with him. Every once in a while, on rare occasion, Techno would allow Tommy to sit in his room without yelling at him. Tommy could only hope it was one of those times.

He softly knocked on the door, awaiting a response.

"Come in." a raspy voice replied, urging Tommy to push open the door.

He entered, immediately meeting the eyes of his older brother. "Hey." he said awkwardly, running his fingers through his hair.

"Is this important Toms? I have a lot of editing I still have to do." Techno spoke abruptly, making his heart ache even more.

"N-no, it's nothing. Never mind." Tommy quickly turned on his heel, blinking away the tears that tempted to fall.

He made his way back to his bedroom, laying on his unkept bed. He let out a long sigh, shaking his head. He rolled onto his side, slowly closing his eyes. Maybe sleep could take it away.

His blaring alarm clock woke him up. Immediately he groaned, forcing himself out of bed to turn off the annoying clock. Usually he would sleep in and wait for his brothers to wake him up, but he decided against that today. He didn't want to annoy them more than he had yesterday.

He slipped into a pair of jeans and a red t-shirt like he always did. He glanced towards his closet, wanting a hoodie. He was quick to grab an old hoodie, Wilbur's hoodie, and put it on. Tommy made his way downstairs, hoping his brothers would be in a better mood.

Thankfully it seemed they were, at least one of them was. Techno looked dead as he stared off into space, eating a piece of toast slowly. It was clear that he had stayed up much later than he intended.

Wilbur, however, seemed to be in a much brighter mood, nearly jumping off his chair to greet Tommy. He pulled him into a quick hug, saying, "I'm so sorry Tommy. I was a jerk yesterday and you were just trying to hang out with me."

"It's alright, Wil." Tommy offered him a smile, showing that he was forgiven.

Wilbur pulled away, pointing towards the counter. "There's some eggs and toast by the oven, if you want."

Tommy nodded, muttering a "Thanks," before moving towards the food. He took a plate out of the cupboard and piling his plate with eggs. He glanced towards Techno, who was still staring off into space. "You okay Tech?"

Techno snapped towards him, "Wh- oh, yeah. I'm just tired." he shrugged. He looked down, finally realizing that he had been poking his fork at nothing. He had finished his eggs without even knowing.

"You look exhausted. How late did you stay up?" Tommy questioned, already concerned by the answer.

"Never slept." Techno mumbled, barely looking at him.

"That's not healthy Tech." Wilbur said, joining the conversation.

Techno shrugged again, "Had to get the editing done."

"Do you want help? I could-" Tommy began to offer, hoping for once that Techno might accept it. He was always stubborn, saying that he didn't need the help when he obviously did. Besides, even if he would never admit it, Tommy was a better editor than him. Mostly because the blonde enjoyed it a lot more than he did.

"No! I am not letting you mess with my stuff." Techno refused, shaking his head.

"I wouldn't mess with it! I promise!" Tommy protested, hoping he would see that he was being completely serious.

"That's what you said last time. And remember what happened? Everything on my computer got deleted because you decided to 'accidentally' restart it. Remember that?" Techno crossed his arms, glaring at his little brother. He had yet to forgive him for that fiasco.

"First, that actually was an accident. And second, it was April Fools! You can't expect not to get pranked!" Tommy tried to explain, rolling his eyes.

"The point is, I don't trust you."

Tommy sighed, trying to hide the hurt he felt within those words. "Fine, but if you ever decide to stop being stubborn, the offer still stands."

Techno again shook his head, moving to put his dish in the sink. "You better not make us late again Tommy!" he shouted while walking towards his room.

"It is not always my fault!" Tommy yelled back, secretly enjoying the bickering. It made things feel normal and somehow always made him feel like he was apart of things. Even if it usually resulted in arguing.

Tommy smiled, maybe today would be a good day.

If only he were right.
