Tommy POV

I sighed, leaning against my door. Why don't they ever tell me anything? I knew why, because it was to "protect me". "You're too young Tommy." "We don't want to see you hurt Tommy." When was I going to be old enough to join the family business?

I was the age Techno was when he started. Why am I different from him?

The voices outside the door grew louder as the screaming began.

"We could use him!"

"Wilbur he's fifteen. He's not ready!"

"Then what are we going to do? He has skills that we just don't possess! He's ready, whether you want to believe it or not."

"We've been fine without him before, we'll be fine now! I'm not putting him danger!"

There was a pause before I heard Techno speak.

"Phil, danger is going to follow him wherever he goes. No matter how hard we try to protect him."

I held my breath, awaiting Phil's response. The man sighed, "I know." My eyes widened as I tried to figure out what this meant. Would he finally allow me to come with them?

Footsteps came towards my door, causing me to scramble to my feet. I leaped into my chair, immediately picking up a book to make it seem like I wasn't just eavesdropping on their conversation.

My door opened and the three of them stepped in.

Wilbur chuckled, "Do you ever not eavesdrop Toms?"

I bit my lip, looking up at him innocently. "I wasn't."

"How's that book? Is it easier reading it upside down?" Techno smirked.

My eyes widened as I realized I was holding the book completely upside down. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment. I smiled, "I'm teaching myself how to read upside down."

"Uh huh, and how is that helpful?" Wilbur raised an eyebrow.

I shrugged, "It could come in handy."

Phil sighed, shaking his head. "Tommy..."

"I can finally go with you?!" I asked, smiling brightly. Finally I wouldn't have to sit at home bored out of my mind. Finally I could help out with the family business.

Phil rolled his eyes, "I didn't say that..."

"Come on Phil, don't sugarcoat it." Techno muttered, amused by his little brother's excitement.

Phil let out a long sigh, as if he were trying to stall. "You can join us on this mission."

"YES!!" I exclaimed, my bright blue eyes gleaming. "My first mission!"

Techno and Wilbur chuckled, smirks on their faces.

"You do realize that means you actually have to take orders, right?" Phil questioned, hoping that I would take this seriously. I tended to do what I thought was right, despite the consequences that obviously came with it.

"Yes sir." I saluted him, making Phil roll his eyes.

I could barely sit still as they began running through the plan. Phil went over everything, pausing to look at me. I couldn't wait to hear my job.

"Tommy you'll be the distraction."

"What? Why?" I groaned. The distraction was the worst job in my opinion. "Why can't Wil be the distraction?" I whined.

Wilbur shook his head, "You don't get to choose your first assignment little brother."

"That's dumb." I muttered.

"And besides you're the best actor out of the four of us. You can talk yourself out of any situation and pretty much improvise on anything as needed. You're very resourceful which is key in this." Phil explained. "If I had my way you would be lookout." He glared at Wilbur in annoyance. "But Wilbur seems to think you can handle this."

"He can! He's more ready than you think Phil." Wilbur nodded. I grinned, glad that my brother believed in me as much as he did.

"We will see, that's for sure." Phil muttered. He glanced towards me, "You think you can handle that Toms?"

"I'm ready."
