Wilbur POV

Tommy wasn't responding. Every call went straight to voicemail. I've never run so fast in all my life, rushing to get in my car. I started the car, immediately speeding. I had to get to him. I once again called him and again it went straight to voicemail. Whoever that was must have taken his phone.

That stressed me out even more, just the thought of someone hurting Tommy. My little brother. I just hoped I would get there in time. What if... No! He'll be okay. I'll make sure of it.

I pulled into his driveway, jumping out of the car after putting it in park. I was surprised to see no other cars in the driveway. His parents weren't home.

I grabbed the key out of my pocket. Tommy had given it to me in case of emergencies and I'm so glad he did. I pushed the door open, slipping inside.

"Tommy!" I shouted, pausing to hear a response.

My heart pounded when he didn't reply. I sprinted towards his room, barging into his small room. His room was so bare, especially for a teenager. He didn't even have a bed. How long had he been living like this?

I pushed the question out of my head, trying to focus on the task at hand. I had to find Tommy. I continued calling for him, searching every room. I found nothing, yet something told me that he was here. I paced in the hallway, trying to figure out where he could be.

I stopped, turning slowly towards a door. The closet. No. He was claustrophobic. Please no, I begged. I tried opening the door, quickly realizing it was locked.

I wasted no time rushing to the kitchen. I swear I saw a key. Swiftly I found it, picking it up and pushing it into the lock. The door clicked, and it slowly creaked open.

My heart stopped at the sight of him. Tommy was curled up, shaking. He was hardly breathing. I pulled him out of the cramp space, bringing him into my lap.

Tommy unconsciously clung to me, gripping my shirt tightly. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him as close as possible. "You're okay Toms." I whispered. "I've got you."

The blonde continued to sob and I took to threading my fingers through his sweaty hair. I murmured sweet nothings in his ear as I slowly picked him up. I'm not leaving him here, I quickly decided.

I carefully brought him to my car, laying him down in the passenger seat. He tightened his grip on me, whining.

"I need to drive us home. I'll be right here, don't worry. I'm not leaving you." I said softly.

"Promise?" he held his pinky out to me.

I gave him a sad smile, linking my pinky with his. "Promise."

He nodded, slowly letting go. I walked to the other side of the car, buckling my seat belt. Tommy said nothing, still crying silently. I sighed, offering one of my hands for him to hold. He glanced at me, meeting my eyes. I nodded, letting him know it was okay. With hesitation he grabbed it, squeezing it. I squeezed back and we began our ride home.

Every few minutes I would look towards him. He looked so tired and broken. I should have been there, I shook my head. Once we finally reached my house I opened my door, making my way to his side.

I slowly picked him up once more, not even asking if it was necessary. I held him close to me as he wrapped his thin arms around my neck. I walked up the stairs towards my apartment, ignoring the strange looks I was given.

After struggling with my keys for a moment, I brought Tommy inside, carefully placing him on the couch. I sat beside him and he immediately crawled into my lap. I smiled, leaning back on the couch to where Tommy was on top of me. I shifted him to where he was comfortable and began running my fingers through his hair.

"You're safe now Toms. No one's going to get to you when I'm around." I spoke softly.

He stiffened a little, "What if-f you're not around?" His voice was small like a lost child.

"I'll always be around. Don't you worry about it." I gently kissed his forehead.

I promise.
