Tommy POV

I slowly opened my eyes, grinning from ear to ear. Today was my birthday! I laid there for a moment, just thinking about how much fun today would be. I would get to hangout with my family and Tubbo!

Finally I jumped out of bed, quickly getting dressed. I pulled on a pair of jeans and my usual red t-shirt. I played with my hair for a moment before deeming it was stylish enough. I left my room, skipping down the stairs.

My family was in the kitchen, looking tired. But that was normal so I thought nothing of it.

"Good morning." I greeted, grabbing some cereal.

"Good morning." they mumbled, giving him a slight wave.

"Why are you up so early?" Wilbur questioned, surprised he didn't have to drag me out of bed. Usually I refused to wake up in the morning.

"Just excited I guess," I said, not thinking about it much.

I watched them exchange looks. Maybe they had a surprise or something, I silently thought.

"I've never seen you this excited about school." Phil chuckled, ruffling my hair.

I rolled my eyes, but said nothing. I continued to eat my cereal, daydreaming about the day.

Wilbur glanced at Techno, "You're driving us to school, right?"

Techno groaned, "Can't you just take the bus?" He much enjoyed driving to school alone than with his loud siblings.

"The bus is loud." I complained, siding with Wilbur. I hated the bus, the kids weren't very nice and it was a long bus ride.

"And you aren't?"

"Techno, you are driving your siblings." Phil decided, further preventing an argument from unfolding.

Techno muttered something under his breath and walked away.

"Hey Wilbur, do you know what today is?" I asked, curious of his answer.

"Thursday?" he replied, a little puzzled. "Is there something else going on today?"

I searched his eyes, hoping he was kidding. But I couldn't see an ounce of humor hidden within them. How could he forget? Wilbur always remembered my birthday, usually he was the first one to wish me a happy birthday.

I felt my face drop a little, but tried to stop it from ruining my day. "No, nothing." Maybe he would realize tonight. Maybe it was just a long night, I concluded.

He looked at me a little strangely, but shrugged. "Make sure you don't make us late." he reminded me, walking towards his room.

"I won't." I replied half heartily. I glanced towards my dad, praying he knew what day it was. "Hey Dad?"

"Yes Toms?" he smiled towards me.

"Do you know what today is?" I asked softly.

I watched him pause. He had to think about it? "It's just a normal day?"

I felt the tears begin to collect in my eyes, but I was quick to blink them away. Be strong, I told myself. If they weren't going to remember maybe Tubbo was. At the thought of Tubbo I smiled a bit. "Never mind." I muttered, turning towards my room.

I put my books and pencils in my bag and swung it over my shoulder. Tubbo would remember, he has to. Maybe Techno would. I made my way towards my older brother's room, knocking.

"What do you want?" came his response.

"Can I ask you something?" I opened the door, entering the room slightly.

"I guess." he looked towards me.

"Do you know what today is?" I asked, feeling hope swell up in my heart.

Techno paused, "Why are you asking everybody this?"

"Just answer!" I interrupted.

"I mean I have an exam today, I think that's all I can think of." he continued stuffing his bag with books.

My head hung low a bit, "Okay." I quickly left, trying to focus on something else. Tubbo will remember, he has to. I walked towards the front door, kicking a small rock.

"Tommy! Hurry-" Wilbur stopped when he saw me. "Oh, I thought you weren't ready."

"Surprise." I sighed, not meeting his eyes.

Techno walked in, ushering us towards the door. "Come on! We'll be late."

The three of us rushed to the car, with Wilbur and Techno in the front and me in the back. I didn't even attempt to get the passenger seat. I didn't want to deal with the disappointment.

The car ride was quiet with dry conversations between Techno and Wilbur. As soon as we reached the parking lot, I jumped out of the car, not even saying goodbye.

I looked for Tubbo, spotting him at his locker. I skipped towards him, excited to say the least. "Hey Tubbo!"

"Hey Big Man!" he grinned at me, turning back towards his locker.

"Guess what today is?" I questioned.

He thought for a moment, "Don't tell me we have a math test today?"

I felt myself shrink at his words. "No, we don't." I sighed. I just wanted to disappear in that moment. "I'll see you later." I mumbled, walking past him. Tubbo stared after me, a confused expression solidified on his face.

I walked with no real destination. I found myself moving towards the library. I smiled sadly when I noticed there was no one there. I could cry alone. I sat in the corner, hidden among the bookshelves.

"Happy birthday to me,

Happy birthday to me,

Happy birthday dear Tommy,

Happy birthday to me." I sang quietly.

Before I knew it I was sobbing. No one would find me here, so I decided to stay there. If no one would remember my birthday was there even a point in hanging out with them?

They were my family, but they couldn't remember a simple date? I curled up, continuing to cry.

Was I really that forgettable?

Hope you liked it! Should I do a part two or leave it like this?

I'm not sure if I'll be able to post tomorrow, but I'll try

Hope you have an amazing day!
