30 Minutes Later - Apartment Lobby
Gabby's POV: After we finished eating, me and Matt were now on our way out of the apartment to go for a walk. We didn't know where we were going however, all we cared was that we were together. Matt was carrying Matteo on his chest in the baby carrier while I held his hand. Honestly, the way he is carrying Matteo looks adorable. Now this is the life.
Once we made it to the sidewalk, I smiled as I rubbed Matt's arm and followed his lead. "Where are we going to go anyways?" Matt looked at me. "I don't care. I just don't want to be cooped up inside when it's this nice out. We can always time the walk to Molly's. If we are only 20 minutes from the firehouse, we can't be that far from Molly's."
I thought about it and nodded. "Molly's is about halfway from our place to the firehouse, so it should just be 10 minutes. But...we should definitely go show Matteo what his dad built." Matt smiled at the thought of that before leading me away towards the restaurant. Being outside, I couldn't help but enjoy the fact that right now, we were just a family...not a firefighter/EMT.
Another thing I couldn't help but enjoy was the sight of Matteo against Matt's chest while also trying to look at the world he needs to explore. God, that is going to be fun to watch. He is going to be an explorer...it's in his genes. Camping and stuff will definitely be our go to adventures. And I definitely am going to help Matt convince Matteo to join his construction company.
Speaking of construction company, that's when I got snapped out of it by Matt. "Gabby!" I turned to look at him. "Sorry, what?" Matt looked at me. "I said let's go this way. I want to show you a construction job I did while you were in Puerto Rico that's around here." I nodded and then followed him. "Sorry, just deep in thought." Matt nodded. "Want to share?"
