Chapter 14: Dinner Time

Lee's POV:

We arrived back at the dairy.

Danny: "Man, that was a hell of a ride, huh?"

Me: "Jesus, Danny."

Danny: "What? You ain't gettin' soft on them, are ya? Not after what they did to your friend!"

Brenda: "You're back! What happened?"

Danny: "Handled it, mama."

Danny then walks off as I got up to speak to Brenda.

Brenda: "This isn't what Terry would've wanted..."

Me: "Who's Terry?"

Brenda: "My husband. Miss him every day."

Y/S/N then approaches us.

Y/S/N: "Hey Brenda, can I see my brother?"

Brenda: "Not yet, he's sleeping we need to let him rest."

Y/S/N: "Can I see him anyway?"

Brenda: "Sorry honey, just let him rest."

Y/S/N then walks off looking pretty sad.

Lilly: "Then screw it up for everyone then, who don'r you?"

Kenny: "Oh calm down, princess. I'll do it myself."

Me: "What's going on with them?"

Brenda: "Dunno. Squabblin', looks like. A lotta tension with ya'll, huh?"

Me: "Yeah, you could say that. They don't exactly see eye to eye on how we should be doing things."

Brenda: "Well, it's probably just the hunger talkin'! And Lee, don't worry your head about them bandits. I'm sorry you've seen more violence than I'da thought in your short time, but ya'll are safe here. Don't worry."

Me: "Think I'll go have a look around ."

Brenda: "Don't wander too far. Dinner will be ready before you know it. And thank your friend Katjaa again for me. She and the kids are in the barn with the cow. That woman is a life saver!"

I walk back down, then spot Clementine in the barn waving at me, I look at her hat then put it back away as I went to speak to Danny.

Danny: "Hello. Glad I got to use her today."

I looked confused.

Danny: "My girl, here."

Me: "You really like that gun."

Danny: "What's not to like."

He said in a creepy tone.

Me: "Just kinda creepy, that's all."

Danny: "Times like these, a .243 will keep you warmer at night than any lady I ever known."

We were talking for about 2 more minutes.

Me: "I'm going to go wait for supper, then."

Danny: "It'll be a good one."

I spot a toolbox and decide to 'burrow' a multi-tool. I then walk into the barn.

Oliver's POV:

Me: "Okay Tony, me and Jill finished checking the basement."

I see Peter and Hope sitting on the table.

Me: "Peter, who's taking watch?"

Peter: "Jack is."
