You have got to be shitting me.

I turned around slowly, knowing Eddie was still at the bottom of my drive to make sure I got inside safely. "I left my keys inside!" I shouted over to him louder than i probably should've. He waved his hand at me to make me go back, and so I did.

My legs ran over to his van and stopped just before his door. "Get in." He demanded, clenching his jaw with a stern tone.

Shit. I bet he's not happy at all.

"I'm sorry. If you just drop me off at Steve's-"

"I'm not dropping you off at that prick's house." He snapped, his grip tightening on the steering wheel until his knuckles looked like they were about to explode.

"Eddie..did I do something?" I asked hesitantly and softly, scared he was about to lash out.

"No. I just don't want to think about what would have happened if I hadn't had showed up to pick you up or if I had driven away just then and left you outside in the cold all night long." He whispered, loosening his grip on the wheel. I ran my fingers over the back of his hand and snickered.

"I probably would've called my dad." I said, bluntly. My hand lay back on my lap as I looked out of the window, not wanting to say something I might regret.

I hardly knew Eddie. In fact, we had only ever spoken if I was buying a weed from him or we had a biology class together and even then, those conversations were no longer than a few minutes and only ever about weed or the lesson. It was strange that he offered to give me a lift home in the first place and that he was weirdly upset over the thought of leaving me by myself.

"I'm sorry." He apologised out of the silence. I turned to look at him and saw he was staring straight ahead as I had been asking him to do for the past half an hour.

"For?" I asked, confused by what he meant.

"For snapping at you."

"I thought it was kind of hot." I blabbered, too drunk to give a shit. He sniggered and reached his hand out for the radio, playing a heavy metal song i had never heard at a moderate volume. He lightly bashed his head to it, making the waves in his hair bounce about as my foot tapped against the dashboard in sync with the beat.

It wasn't my usual type of music but strangely, I was enjoying it.

"Good, isn't it?" He asked a little bit louder than the song so I could hear him clearly. I nodded and peeled my eyes away from the darkness ahead of us to him, watching his movements as he let himself absorb the moment playing around us.

He was truly beautiful. His hair, his eyes, his lips. How the tip of his nose curled ever so slightly and how his cheeks reached his eyes when he smiled. How had I never made a move on this man?

"Like what you see?" He asked with a smirk.

"Yes." I whispered quietly, not daring to take my eyes away from the sight. He was so mesmerising and I don't even think he knew it.

The car slowed to a stop but I couldn't have cared less, I was too busy letting my imagination run wild.

Once the van had stopped, Eddie pulled the keys out of the ignition and turned his head to look at me full on. "What are you thinking about?" He whispered softly to me, holding his arm out and stroking my cheek.
