"Yes you do like chicken coriander, Steve!." I exclaimed to him from across the kitchen island. "I've literally seen you eat it!." I looked him down as he pulled a face of disgust.

"I have never put that shit into my body, Kim." Steve shook his head and fake gagged. "My body is a temple and I wouldn't ever put something like that inside of it." He carried on with himself.

"I swear to god -" I pinched the bridge of my nose and squeezed my eyes shut tightly. I inhaled a deep breath before releasing it, allowing my eyes to open and my hand to fall onto the island. "Steve." I said with a sarcastic smile. "Please, will you not make this any more difficult than it has to be?." I asked, referring to how I had been arguing with the boy for over thirty minutes about how I knew he liked chicken coriander because I've made it for him before.

It didn't help that Billy and Max were the only other two people who didn't have any complaints on what to eat for dinner, but everybody else had had their own opinions and just wanted to make my life that much harder.

"I don't get why you can't just make something all of us like?." Steve asked genuinely and it was starting to piss me off.

"Fine!." I held my hands up. "Do it yourself if you're so bothered." I grumbled and stormed my way out of the open kitchen and down the hallway to my room, slamming the door closed behind me and throwing my body into the mattress. "Argh!." My voice was muffled by the pillows my face was squashed into it, trying my hardest not to cry from the emotions building up in my chest.

Everything had been perfect up until now, and to make matters even worse, I hadn't a single second alone to try and call Eddie today. I was missing him way too much and it was starting to make me feel home sick. But I didn't miss Hawkins..I missed Eddie.

August 27th, 1984.

"Do you ever wonder about the stars?." Eddie asked me as we lay behind his trailer in the dried mud, eyes focusing on the shining balls of fire above us.

"Sometimes." I said simply, appreciating their beauty and soaking it in. "Do you?." I asked him in return, twisting my head to look at him. He hummed with a smile tugging at his lips, his eyes glimmering in the reflection of the sky.

"Do you know they're not actually shiny?." He asked me and twisted his own head to look at me now. "Because of the distance away from earth they are, they come off as fixed points of light." A small breath left his nose.

"And how do you know that?." I asked and turned my attention back to the other beautiful view I had the pleasures of seeing.

"Because I'm smart." Eddie said and I snorted loudly at his words. "What?." He sat up and looked over his shoulder at me. "I am!." Eddie said in defence as I began laughing at him.

"I never said you wasn't." I continued to laugh at the boy who was pulling all kinds of faces at me: concerned, confused, shocked, amused.

"I try to tell the most beautiful girl about the most beautiful thing and she tells me I'm not smart." He said to himself and turned to face ahead of us. "Huh. Wonders never cease." Eddie turned back to me with a smirk before he attacked me with his fingers on my hips.

"No!." I exclaimed and rolled around, hating how it felt to have his fingers digging into my sides.

"Take it back!."
