"Kathleen. Nice to see you." Eddie greeted her as he stood against one of the pillars holding the school up outside of the entrance, clearly waiting for me. "You doing okay?" He asked her with his hands in his pockets.
"Thankyou" she whispered shyly. "yeah I'm doing okay now, thanks for asking." She smiled and patted his chest, walking into the school as we trailed behind her.
"I called you this morning, your dad said you had already left..didn't sound too happy though." Eddie began conversation from next to me, sliding his arm around the back of my neck so his bicep was sitting comfortably on my skin.
"Yeah he told me I was ungrounded and I thought that had ended when they stupidly left the house to an 18 year old, grounded girl who has a boyfriend." I rambled to him, coming to a stop at my locker a few away from Kathleen's.
"What?." Eddie asked confused.
"I told him I had been staying over at your house since they went to Kansas city and he wasn't happy. Why would you leave a house to your daughter for a week if she was still grounded? Obviously I thought that was over, I'm a teenager." I scoffed and rolled my eyes, closing my locker with a soft thud and facing Eddie who was leant against the locker next to mine.
"You're so cute when you ramble, you know that?" He smirked down at me and brought his hand to my jaw so he could pull me in for a kiss. I smiled into his lips and pulled away at the sound of Kathleen swearing besides me.
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fucking fuck!." She turned to face me from her previous eye line on the entrance doors. "Kimmy, hide me." She quietly whispered before squeezing her self in between me and Eddie who were still facing each other. She took a whiff of something before speaking again. "You smell like weed." She spoke in a hushed tone to Eddie who smirked down at her and nodded.
"Cheers, Kathy." His eyes met mine and he winked at me. My cheeks began to burn up at his actions before they turned back to their usual pale colour as soon as I saw what Kathleen was hiding from.
Barb and Nancy walked past together with Steve, Tommy and Carol trailing behind like their pets. It was so embarrassing to watch I almost burst out laughing. I smiled evilly as they moved over to us but never stopped or looked our way. I kept my eyes on Barb the entire time, wanting her to look over so I could punch her right in the face, but she never did.
"Stop it." I heard Kathleen speak from in between me and Eddie, her back to them and her face up against the locker as she tried to hide it. "Kimmy, I'm serious." She leant back to check if they were gone.
"Stupid bitch." I muttered and turned back to the pair in front of me. Eddie was enjoying the show a little too much whilst Kathleen's breathing was all over the place.
"That..was close." She said, standing with her hands on her hips like my dad does every Sunday morning as he stood at the window and watched the neighbours like a pedophile.
No seriously, it was creepy as hell.
"You should just show her how much of a bad bitch you are." Eddie piped up from the same position he had been stood in for the past five minutes, biting his nails as he spoke.
We both turned our heads towards him slowly, completely surprised by the words that had just come out of his mouth.
"He's right..but I don't want to hear the words 'bad bitch' leave your mouth again..that seriously disturbed me." I quivered with cringe, shaking my head as I slung my bag over my shoulder and my arm over Kathleen's shoulder.
