My eyes tried to adjust to that same light shining out through my lounge window, almost blinding me from its brightness. I put my arm over my eyes to shield myself from it, unable to see anything past it.
"Kimberly.." a voiced called out to me, the same one from the last time. I moved slightly to my left, hoping I could see where they was.
"Kimberly.." they called out again, morphing in the doorway to my house. I could see the silhouette of a man stood there with his arms down by his side.
"Kimberly..help me." They cried, waiting for me to move closer. I wanted to, but my legs were too stiff to walk. I dropped my arm down and the light disappeared, showing me who it was in the doorway.
It was Eddie.
I jumped up from my bed in my sleep, feeling the sweat dripping from my skin as my breathing was rigid; my heart was beating 10 times faster than it should've been. I rubbed my eyes to see better, turning my head towards my alarm clock and seeing it was 6:45am, Wednesday. I groaned and threw my head back against the bed, realising I would have to wake up for school in 15 minutes anyway, so there was no point going back to sleep.
It had been 3 months since the incident with Eddie in his van, and things were going well and steady between us at the moment. We had gone out on a date every Saturday night for the last 3 months, officially met each others family and had lots and lots of sex. I mean, like, a fucking lot of sex.
It was fun, and slowly but surely I was falling in love by the minute. Since that night, there had been no arguments over girls, over Steve or over anything really.
Speaking of Steve, he had took me out to a party to make himself feel good because of nance and I've never been more grateful for an invite to get alcohol poisoning.
Oh boy, was that party good.
Kathleen pulled up to the enormous fucking house that was filled to the brink with people. I didn't think this many kids lived in Hawkins.
"Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!" I said to her from the back seat, leaning over her own seat to kiss her face repeatedly.
"Okay! Get off me." She said, shoving me away and letting me get out the car. "If you need me to pick you up, just call, okay?" She rolled down her window to tell me and Steve, leaving us as I nodded my head and blew her a kiss.
"How do you know these guys, anyway?" I asked him, holding onto his hand as we made our way to the front of the house and traveled through the inside of it.
"I don't. Tommy does." He said and pointed to our friend who was already smashed, leaning against the wall with half a cup of beer and a cigarette in between his lips.
I laughed and found my self in the kitchen pressed up against so many sweaty bodies, either dancing or doing some sort of drug.
"Oh yes! They have drugs!" I said to Steve who laughed and followed my lead to the punch bowl, which was definitely not filled with punch.
"What's in it?" Steve asked, leaning his head over it to get a sniff. He pulled his head back and almost gagged at the smell. "Fuck me!" He exclaimed. "That's some dangerous stuff." He shook his head and watched me as I copied his actions. I stood up straight and looked at him, laughing as I pulled the exact same face. I turned to a guy behind me who was around 6'4 and had plenty of tattoos covering him.
