The inside to the building was loud and thunderous with the screams and shouts of humans asking for help and prayers, but they never got what they wanted. They were here for one reason and one reason only, and they'd never be anywhere but here.

Heavy footsteps of the warden slammed against the ground as he had been instructed to collect one of the patients for a visit. Nobody liked the patient, her crimes were worse than what most of the people were in here for, and she never felt remorse for the death of her daughter all of those years back.

Maureen Cassidy never shed a single tear for what she did to her daughter that day back in 1985, and the only thing she regretted from the incident, is that she didn't do it sooner.

Maureen had hated Kim since they had moved to Hawkins, and it was simply because she reminded her of her sister, Linda. Linda had told Maureen in the little flat above Paul's pub, their brother, that if they moved from London to America she wouldn't come to visit, and she kept her promise, until Kim's funeral.

Kim's Auntie Lin and Uncle Paul heard the news a few days after it had happened, and Linda felt guilty. So incredibly guilty because she was the one who refused to visit. Her grudge against her sister lead to her refusing to see her nieces and nephews and she felt so much guilt that she cried for days after the news. Paul was never really close with Kim, more Jonnie and David, but hearing the words 'your sister has killed your niece' shattered his heart. Who in their right mind would be okay listening to their brother in law tell them that their sister took away her own daughters life?. The pair of them flew over together and grieved for their beloved niece, making their thoughts on Hacker more than clear when they left Hawkins.

That's the story Maureen believes in her head, that she hated Kimberly because of Linda, but it wasn't the whole truth. The whole truth was that Maureen never wanted Kim. She had always only wanted boys because Maureen was terrified that any girls she had would turn out like her. Maureen had secrets, dark secrets and so did Linda, and when Kim was brought into the world Maureen hated her from the start.

It was the alcohol that made her act out her hatred, it made her say everything she was thinking in her sick and twisted brain, and Kimberly choosing Hawkins over her family was a perfect excuse for Maureen to use.

The warden hit his baton off of the metal bars to warn Maureen to stay back, nodding his head at the two doctors to prepare for any form of an attack as the door opened, but Maureen was drained by this point. She couldn't close her eyes anymore due to Kimberly's face day in and out, and not out of guilt or regret. Maureen was glad that she got rid of the one demon in her head that she never needed, but Kimberly's face stayed there even when she was dead because of the mother to child bond they had formed from the minute Kimberly's head touched Maureen's chest.

She saw Kimberly everyday because of a mothers love, and it was stronger than the hatred.

"Cassidy, you've got a visitor again." The warden told the red haired lady, who's head turned to the side slowly to look at him, her arms being lifted into the air with her body as the doctors picked her up and tied her arms around herself for her own safety.

Maureen knew who it was, and she found it strange that he was the only one who visited her. She never thought in a million years he would be the one to see her once a week, but she knew it was for closure.
