With the rest of the flyers handed out for my party tomorrow, the largest amount of alcohol ever seen to man stacked up in the back of Eddie's van which we all split the bill for and all of our outfits bought, it was time to dress up for the school dance in a couple of hours.
Kathleen was on her way over to my house to help me get ready and I was so excited to see her outfit. I had decided to dress up as Jessica rabbit because she was a literal icon, obviously and I even had the wig and the beautiful red dress to go with it. Steve decided he wanted to dress as sheev palpetine from Star Wars and I didn't even question it; Steve had a mind of his own and it was best I stayed far away from it. Eddie on the other hand, decided that Ozzy Osbourne was a suitable choice and i decided to ignore the whole idea all together. We had convinced Billy to tag along but had no idea what he would he wearing, but I did know he was going to come as the karate kid to my party tomorrow.
With my dress already ironed and on, I heard a knock at my front door before who I assumed to be Kathleen walked through it and allowed her voice to be known everywhere.
"Hello guys!." She called out to the house, listening to the silence emit around her. "Hellloo?." She called again, expecting one of my parents to at least answer her.
"They've gone out, Kathleen!." I called down to her with a snort. "Stop making a fool out of yourself and get your ass up here to help me with this stupid-" I continued to yell to her until my door swung open and an unpleased looking girl stood in my doorway. "Oh, hey!." I exclaimed falsely, smiling brightly up at her from my bedroom floor.
"Don't 'oh hey!' me, Kim." She scolded me as she shut my bedroom door behind her. "Give me this bloody wig, would you?." Kathleen rolled her eyes at me playfully before kneeling down besides me as I handed her the bright orange wig.
"You look absolutely amazing, by the way." I smirked at her through my tall, slim mirror and admired her outfit.
She had made herself a Freddy Kruger costume that consisted of: a ripped up, long sleeve, red and black striped jumper with rips, a belt with a large circular buckle over her torso and a black, leather skirt. She had even made gloves with long blades for her fingers that were a little smaller than the actual ones in the film and no where near as sharp.
"It only took me seven hours." She scoffed lightly at the fact. My eyes bulged at the information she was feeding to me. She hummed and nodded at me through the mirror at my reaction. "Paige almost had a heart attack when I told her." Kathleen chuckled to herself.
"I bet she did." I responded. "I would've rather unalived my self." A small short escaped my lips at my words.
"You say that to anything you wouldn't want to rather have done." Kathleen teased me and let a little smirk form on her face.
"That's because I'd rather die than do a lot of things, Kathleen. I wasn't put on this diminishing earth to be in situations I would rather not be in." I shrugged gently as Kathleen's finger tips pushed my real hair back with some gel to make the wig process easier.
"You are actually the most well spoken yet non fluent person I think I've ever met." She let out a laugh.
"You think?." I smirked at her through the reflective glass.
"It's either America is having an effect on you or we are."
"Most definitely both. You speak like a classy lady where as all the others talk as if they weren't taught proper English as a child." I joked to her, teasing the boys we had decided to befriend.
