I held my arm up infront of my face to shield my eyes from the bright light shining out through the front window to my house.

It was happening again.

"Kimberly.." that same voice called from a distance, standing in the doorway to my home. I moved my legs slowly to the side, trying to hide away from the absorbing beam glinting into my orbs.

"Kimberly..." they called again but louder this time. I couldn't recognise their voice, listening intensely to it.

"Kimberly..help me.." they cried now. I dropped my arm and the bright beam vanished, emitting darkness around me. Suddenly, the light reappeared, but behind the person calling out for me.

I still couldn't see their face, but by their hair I could tell it was Eddie.

"Eddie..?" I called back, hoping he could hear me. "Eddie, ..can you hear me?" I raised my voice this time.

"Kimberly.." he called as I got closer and closer. "Don't let him do this to me!!.." he cried in agony, screaming at the top of his lungs as another figure appeared behind him.

"Eddie, watch out!"

I opened my eyes and gasped for breath as my vision alined with my current surroundings. I sighed with relief as I realised I was dreaming again, and that Eddie was most likely alive in his bed.

I turned to look at the clock and noticed it was 8:00am.

"Where the fuck is Kathleen?." I muttered to myself, pushing myself off of the side of my bed and slithering my feet into my slippers.

I walked out of my room and down the stairs, listening to the talks of my mum and dad.

"Morning, pumpkin." My dad mumbled, keeping his eyes on the Hawkins post clutched in his fingers.

"Morning.." I said quietly, looking around the living room to see if Kathleen was here. "Where is she?." I asked my parents, knowing they would know who I was referring too.

"We just assumed she wasn't picking you up today." My mother replied from her chair infront of me, keeping her eyes on the tv.

They were still pissed with me.

"I'll just walk." I said and turned around.

"No." My dad called to me, standing up and making his way over to my side. "Not until you're ungrounded." He mumbled and walked by me to the front door where his car keys were. "Hurry up and get ready. I'll meet you in the car."

I nodded and quickly ran back up the stairs and began to brush my teeth.

You see, it had been a little over five weeks since my birthday party and everything had gone great..well, until Adam Clarkson smashed my grandmas ashes all over my living room floor and my parents found a half used bag of cocaine under the dining room table.

I had woken up the next day with a throbbing headache and didn't want to clean, but I had to and when I saw nanny Dorris scattered all over my living room, I immediately knew I was in shit. What I wasn't expecting was the bag of cocaine..yeah, I should've checked properly.

Once I had my uniform on and piled everything I needed into my bag, I brushed out my hair and shoved it into a high pony, running down the stairs and calling bye to my mother before shutting the door and running down to my dad at the bottom of our driveway.
