This was the first time I had ever woken up with a hangover, and I didn't want to experience another one ever again.
My eyes flickered open and took in my surroundings, seeing my arms wrapped around a smaller figure on the couch, my hand tucked into her bra. I smiled cheekily to myself and looked around the room quickly, seeing Kimberly in the kitchen cleaning up the mess. Eddie was sat on one of the garden lounge chairs with a spliff in his mouth, counting a stack of money I assumed Kimberly had made for him last night, selling drugs.
The rest of the house was completely silent except for the quiet snores coming from the girl besides me. I furrowed both of my eyebrows as I slowly turned my head towards the girl, knowing it couldn't have been a random stranger.
"Have a look." Kim noticed that I was awake and held a smug smirk on her face. I shook my head at her and groaned, feeling as if I could throw up if I moved anymore. "Steven." She basically forced me into it. I sighed and looked down to my arms, seeing Kathleen knocked out as she cuddled onto my arm underneath her head.
"Oh fuck." I muttered, pulling my hand from her bra and trying to move without waking her. She tossed a little but stayed asleep as I climbed over the back of the couch and rolled off of it onto the floor. "Argh!." I groaned in pain, landing on my side and hitting my elbow. I got up and rubbed my arm.
Kimberly snickered at me as Eddie walked into the house and walked up to Kimberly, giving her a kiss on the top of her head before making a glass of water.
"Here you go, Harrington." He walked up to me and passed me the drink, dropping two aspirins into my hand along with it.
"Cheers." I mumbled, grateful for his presence for the first time ever. He nodded and walked over to the couch, waking Kathleen up. "Kim." I whispered to her as she washed the dishes in my sink. She looked to her side to make eye contact with me, raising an eyebrow. "We didn't..you know." I looked over my shoulder at Kathleen who was sat up now, talking to Eddie who was crouched down in front of her.
"That's not very specific, Steve." She smirked as she spoke, trying to stifle a laugh. "No. You didn't have sex." She shook her head and chuckled. I sighed with relief, not wanting to have had done things with both her and Kimberly, especially as Kathleen wasn't even into men. "But.." she said, making my eyes bulge out. "Nah, I'm joking." She laughed at my reaction.
"Fucking dick." I shoved her shoulder, causing her to splash water all over the counter and drop the knife she had in her hand.
"Steve!" She yelled at me, pulling her hand out of the water which was almost covered in blood completely.
"Shit. Kim, I'm so sorry!." I exclaimed in a panic, grabbing a cloth and wrapping it around her hand quickly.
"What happened?" Eddie hurried over to the scene to examine the damage.
"I didn't mean to-" I began to apologise, feeling really awful. Kim laughed and shook her head.
"Steve, it's fine. Remember when I broke your finger?." She asked, referring to the time we had all played soccer in the snow and she pushed me out of the way, causing me to fall onto my face but she had slipped and landed on my hand, breaking my index finger. "You got your revenge." She smirked but winced when Eddie tried to have a look at how deep it was.
"Do you need me to drive you to the hospital?" I asked the pair of them, taking a peak over Eddie's shoulder and seeing the gash was deeper than I thought it would've been.
