"Mhm. Okay." Eddie whispered lowly as his response, picking me up from his lap and throwing us around so he was now the one on top. I tried to hold back any sounds my throat attempted to let escape, but soon failed miserably as Eddie began to leave trails of kisses down my clothed body. "Let's get these off." He growled to me, taking my top off for me and then my bra.

I watched as his eyes burned dark with desire, admiring the body lay underneath his with barely anything but some leggings protecting my skin. His face dived back down to my chest and let his lips salvage what they could, using his hands to explore the waist band to my pants.

Eddie suddenly stopped and opened his mouth as if he was about to say something, letting it linger open for a few seconds before his eyes flickered away from mine.

"Ed?." I sat up and leant on my hands. "Hey, baby." I stoked one side of his face. "What's up?." I asked gently, a little worried about his behaviour.

He looked down at his thighs which were straddling my own and sighed. "I can't do it." He mumbled, shaking his head slightly as he played with his rings.

"Can't do what?." I asked him in response, getting nervous nausea.

"I can't say it." He blinked a few times and pushed himself away from me. "I'm sorry I just..I can't." The tone of his voice sounded full of shame and embarrassment. My eyes stayed put on the boy who's back was now leant against the wall with his head in between his knees.

"I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, Ed." I sat on my knees and moved my hand to his arm to stroke it.

"It's not that." He chuckled dryly, now lifting his head up to look at me as he leant it back against the wall. "I just.." he paused and sighed, avoiding eye contact with me. "This ain't me. I'm all for exploring and shit, but I just can't.." he shook his head and grunted to himself in annoyance.

I watched the emotions riddle on his face as I took in what he was really trying to say.

He couldn't call me mummy because of his own.

"Just because you can't say it, doesn't mean we have to stop what we were doing..right?." I let my fingers trail up the side of his bare bicep gently, making sure to let him know that I was okay with his un - comfortability. His eyes flickered over to me before a wide smile crept onto his face.

"Shit." He leant over to pull my face into his. "How'd I get so darn lucky?." His lips melted against my own and I could feel the smile tugging at his lips.

"Don't ever say 'darn' again." I muttered into the kiss, earning a short laugh from Eddie.

No matter where I was, Eddie would always be my happy place.

No matter what.

Ah, October. What a beautiful time to be alive. With it being close to the last month of the year, it mean that we had a few different things coming up which was an excuse to get the hell away from my family.

From her.

Soon after that night when Eddie had a little hiccup with calling me mummy, she made sure to show me that what I had done was wrong.

"Kimberly!." My mother called up to me from the bottom of the stairs. I rolled my eyes and dropped my book onto the bedside table. "Get down here!." She called again as my feet hit the floor.
