"I'm just saying!. There's nothing wrong with me calling you a bitch, kimmy." Steve tried to defend his previous statement of calling me 'the birthday bitch' by saying there was nothing wrong with it.
"Technically, no." I agreed. "But you're the one saying it and you're just mean to me sometimes, Steven." I put on my sad act and pretended as if he was horrible to me all the time.
"Liar." Steve scoffed as we made our way to the local pool. Luckily, the sun was beaming, so working in this weather wouldn't have been too bad, except I had Steve tagging along with me because I stayed around at his house last night.
It's a whole thing. I'm sure you don't want to hear it.
Okay. Fine, I'll tell you.
Last night, 10:34pm;
I lay reading in Eddie's bed, listening to his pacing footsteps as he mumbled shit about Billy under his breath. He was annoyed with me and Billy because Billy had moved too close to Eddie's liking and I had been around there every day since. Every day meaning once a week since they moved in just shy of a month ago.
"He's only done this because he knows you're here." Eddie finally said something loud enough for me to respond too.
"No he hasn't." I said to him, unphased.
"Why else would he move here?. It's a shit hole and he's had to sell his fucking car just so they can survive here." Eddie was peaking out of his window to take a look at the trailer across from us.
"How do you know he sold his car?." I asked Eddie, raising an eyebrow at him as I stayed lay down on my back, a thick book in the palm of my hands.
"It's not there. And I spoke to Steve last night." Eddie mumbled and started to move again.
I ignored his words and took a deep breath in, not wanting to deal with his antics today.
He'd been stressing out all morning over why Wayne made him knock that wall down just to rebuild it and cut off any access to it at all, so I popped over to Max's after school instead of back to see Eddie, who still wouldn't come to school, and it pissed Eddie right off.
I think he forgets that I go to school with Billy, so regardless of where he lives he's still going to see me and I'm still going to see him.
"Have you spoken to him?." Eddie asked and groaned.
"Of course I've fucking spoken to him!." I sat up and almost shouted. "He lives there for fucks sake!." I threw my legs over the bed and made my way to the bathroom.
"Alright. Jesus." Eddie said and looked me up and down as I walked by him. "No need to get all pissy on me, love."
I ignored his words and slammed the bathroom door, having a wee and washing my hands and face before going back into Eddie's room to see him now sat on the bed, scratching his wrists.
"What's your problem?." I asked him from the door way, wondering what he was anxious about.
"I don't trust him." Eddie muttered. "He's here for a reason. I'm telling you." He looked up at me with determination in his eyes.
