As Steve had so kindly invited me and Eddie to get drunk, I thought it only fair to make it worth Eddie's while.

"Do I have to start drinking again this soon?." I complained to Steve in a whine as he scoffed at me from behind the counter.

"Yes!." His tone was adamant that I prove to him the old Kim was back, refusing to allow a new and improved me to take his best friend away.

"You do realise you're crazy without alcohol, right?." Eddie asked from besides me as he fiddled about with a cardboard cutout looking out onto the front of the store almost completely empty of vehicles. "Being sober doesn't change that." He mumbled blissfully unaware.

"You must obviously like crazy." I turned to him and watched as he almost snapped the cardboard in half with his foot.

"Son of a bitch." He muttered to himself as he tried to fix his mistake. "yes, I do like them a little insane." Eddie teased as he finally looked up to me and Steve as we watched him.

"Insane's a strong word." I scoffed at him.

"I don't think it's strong enough, actually." Steve decided to join in on the bullying, which was enough reason for me to call this conversation quits.

"That's enough of that." I said and walked over to Eddie, holding onto his back and practically dragging him to the front door. "We'll see you tonight, Steven!." I called to him as I opened the door.

"But you don't even know where it is!." Steve's voice called distantly to us. I turned around noticing the door was closed so instead mouthed and mimed.

"Your house, duh."

I watched Steve lift his middle finger at me through the glass as I laughed and turned back to Eddie who was a little infront of me.

The walk back to my house was chilly but filled with the laughter of mine and Eddie's regardless of the weather following us. When we stepped in through my door, we was instantly hit with the warmth radiating through the walls. I sighed happily and began to undress myself of the extra layer of clothing to support my immune system of dying from the temperature outside.

"Mum!." I called out into my house, slowly making my way into the lounge to greet the woman. "Dad?." I lowered my voice as I approached the living area, seeing nothing but furniture.

"They left a note, Princess." Eddies voice sounded from behind me. I turned on my heels and walked the little distance towards the kitchen island where Eddie was stood leaning, a small piece of paper ontop of the counter.

I walked towards him and leaned over the counter to grab the note, reading it out loud in a mumble.

"Taken Michael to his appointment. Going to see your brothers on the way back. Be home late, make your own dinner.
                         - mum."

"I see where you get your lack of expression from." Eddie snickered quietly to himself as he chewed on a sweet from the packet of pick & mix from my cupboard.

"The difference is, she's just a bitch." I smiled sarcastically at him and twisted around to make my way to my room with Eddie tailing behind me.

"So are you." He responded with a mouth full. I turned and smacked him around the side of his head, scoffing at his words. "What?." He laughed at me. "I'm not wrong!." Eddie cried out in defence, a small chuckle ending his laughter.
