It had been a few days since Steve drove me to school and as the day progressed, he wasn't convincing me that he could keep his promise and make things up to me. All we had done is walk around the west of town where there was nothing but sheep and farm animals, we stopped at the theatre to watch a film that wasn't even showing and hadn't been since 1983 and lastly, he had taken me to benny's diner which was a great idea until some stupid little demon ran into me and knocked my tray of food all over the floor.
I swear it right now; I could've killed a human child today.
Steve told me it was fine and I could just share his food, but the list of things aggravating me were too high for me to enjoy Steve's unhygienic fries from his disgusting fingers. He always picked up the potato filled food and chucked them back on the plate if they weren't crispy enough and he always, I mean always, licked his fingers after every fry.
He was a vile specimen of a man.
As of right now, Steve had brought me into the forest to either murder me or rob me of everything I had which was a half smoked cigarette from outside of Benny's and $30.
"Steve, where are you taking me?" I asked him over the crunch of twigs snapping beneath our feet. I watched him as he held onto the trunks of trees for support as we slowly declined down a small hill.
"You'll see in a second, okay Cassidy? Jeez, it's not like I've brought you out here to kill you or anything." He scoffed with a dry laugh, brushing his hair out of his face. "You would think so though with that attitude of yours." He shook his head in disbelief before coming to a stop at some massive ass rock.
"What in the fuck is this, Steve?" I asked in astonishment, slowly walking from behind him and around to get a better look at whatever it was.
"Skull rock, baby." He sighed happily with his hands on his hips. I turned to face him with an emotionless expression. "What?" He asked me dumbfounded.
"You brought me..to skull rock? The skull rock?" My eyes blinked with every pause I took, in disbelief at where my legs were standing and with whom they were stood besides.
"Yeah!" He smiled widely. "You was talking about it the other week, remember? You said you had never been here before so I thought I'd show you the sights. Pretty cool, isn't she?" Steve was stood besides me by the end of his sentences, obviously more proud of this little trip than anything he's ever achieved in his life.
"I said I had never seen it, not that I wanted to see it. Steve, this is weird as fuck! You bring girls here to make out, why would you bring me to that exact spot?" I pulled my brows at him in pure confusion, not knowing whether he thought this was for my personal geography knowledge or he was about to try and shove his tongue down my throat.
"Because it's cool, Kim. I'm not going to try and have sex you with, Jesus Christ. What kind of sicko do you take me for?" Steve scoffed at my quiet accusation and walked into the aperture of the huge rock.
"This is some Ted Bundy shit, Steven. I do not want to be in this situation any longer." I held my hand up to him and turned around to leave.
"First of all, Ted bundy didn't lure girls to a make out spot to kill them, secondly; Ted Bundy always killed strangers and thirdly; stop being so dramatic and sit the hell down." Steve ranted at me without moving from his spot on the fallen down tree branch.
