"Morning." Eddie muttered to me from the kitchen as he buttered himself some toast. I groaned in response and sat myself down on his sofa, watching him with a blunt expression.

Today I had been feeling a hell of a lot worse than the last two mornings and as far as I knew, I wouldn't be partying anymore today which slightly angered me.

"You're very cheery." Eddie said sarcastically, moving to face me and taking a bite out of the toast. "Your head hurting?." He asked with a mouth full of food.

"No." I said in response, closing my eyes and leaning my head over the back of the sofa. "What time is it?." I asked Eddie without moving.

"Ten Thirty."

"Is that it?." I asked with a groan, knowing that today could be a slow one. "Shit." I mumbled.

"Why?." He asked as he continued to eat his food, chewing with his mouth open.

"I just-" my sentence was cut short by the phone.

"I'll get it." Eddie mumbled and dropped his food back onto the plate below him, wiping his hands free of crumbs onto his t-shirt and making his way to the phone. "Hello?." He asked whoever it was down the phone, swallowing the last piece of toast. "Sup?." Eddie spoke again. "Yeah..uh, sure..is everything alright? You sound a little..I don't know..worried." Eddies vision twisted towards me and he nodded his head, indicating that the person on the phone wanted to speak to me. "Alright, dude." He lifted the phone from his ear and held it out for me. "It's Steve."

I took the phone from Eddie's hand and placed it against my ear. "Morning, Steven." I grumbled to him.

"Mornin' sunshine." He sounded cheery. "I need you ready in an hour." Steve said as I heard some scuttling down the phone.

"Ready for what..exactly?." I questioned him, wondering what the hell he could want with me at half past ten in the AM.

"Christmas shopping..did you forget?." He asked me with a hint of surprise and disappointment laced behind his tone.

"Obviously." I responded whilst rubbing my eyes, hoping the call would've been regarding something more..productive.

"Your attitude stinks, Kim." Steve said with a small snort. "Anyway, be ready in an hour..I won't wait about."

"Okay. Love you, bye." I said to him down the phone, listening to him repeat my words before the line went dead.

"Love you?." Eddie spoke up from behind me, having been awfully quiet the entire conversation.

"Yeah?." I asked him as I walked around to the opposite side of the kitchen counter, across from him. "Something wrong with that?." I queried him again, sure I knew exactly where this conversation was about to lead to.

"Bit weird." He responded with a bit more of his toast inside of his mouth. "M' sure you'd be pissed if I said that to.." he swallowed the food. "Natalia or something." Eddie shrugged and dropped his plate into the sink, alongside the rest of the pots he hadn't done in days.

"You and Natalia aren't friends." I reminded him with an evil glare, not understanding why she was being brought into this discussion.

"We were." He admitted and raised an eyebrow at me as if that was information I was to be aware of.
