Since Jon and the twins arrival, everything had been going well, for now. My mum was recovering slowly but was still hospital bound due to how early the boys had come into the world, which meant I was still alone in my house until they got better. I had been to visit them everyday after work and it only got harder knowing that the minute they returned, my life was cut short.

Today, Jon and Eddie had decided to surprise me at work by pretending they were coming for a swim.

"Oh no! Help! Help! I'm drowning!." Jon cried out to me as Eddie pounced on his head in the water, shoving the older boy underneath the surface.

"Eddie, stop it." I shook my head at the boy who only smirked and splashed Jon as he resurfaced. "Men." I muttered to myself and carried on trying to do my job.

"You know, I'm sure your boss wouldn't mind you getting in with us." Eddie swam over to the edge of the pool and leant his arms onto the concrete as he spoke to me, water droplets dripping down his forehead from his hair.

"I'm pretty sure he would." I disagreed with the boy and looked at my watch, waiting for the hands to strike 12 so I could leave and not have to deal with the immature behaviour of my brother and boyfriend.

"But look at how much fun we're having!." Eddie shouted over to me with a wide grin before he and Jon began to play fight in the water.

"I really don't care. I need this job so if you don't mind, leave me alone." I smiled sarcastically at them before my fake demeanour dropped.

It was a long 2 hours before my shift finally ended and Billy turned up to take over for me.

"Hey." I said to him as we approached each other outside of the reception. I stood on my tiptoes to hug him, hearing Jon and Eddie talking as they walked up behind me.

"You look exhausted." Billy mentioned without saying hello, smirking down at me with a piece of gum in between his teeth.

"Imagine having to deal with two fully grown idiots for the past 2 hours. Bloody been trying to drown each other and Eddie made a kid cry." I sighed deeply which made Billy laugh.

"Yo, Billy." Eddie made his way over to us and greeted his friend, leaving Jon to stand and wonder who the tall, curly haired boy was.

"You alright?" He asked Eddie. "You must be Jon." Billy held his hand out for Jon to take, looking up to speak to him. It must've been weird for Billy to look up at somebody, because it was usually everybody looking up to him.

"Yeah, that's me. You?." Jon asked with his hand in Billy's grip still, this being the first time they had met.

"Billy." He nodded to my brother with a smile.

"Ah yes, I've heard a bit about you." Jon grinned over at Bil before he shoved my shoulder.

"You've been talking about me, have you?." Billy teased me at the news. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at the conversation.

"You'd think you were Eddie with the way she speaks about you." Jon joked with Billy, but me and Ed didn't find it funny. I didn't because it wasn't true and Eddie didn't because he assumed it was.

"He's lying. Stupid dick." I shook my head at him and walked off from the group, getting changed in the changing rooms quickly before making my way back over to them as not to leave them alone for too long. I didn't trust any of them right now.
