The end of my junior school year was approaching and unlike all of the other kids, I was fine. I didn't need to panic about what colleges I needed to get into or what grades I got for them, because I wasn't going. I know we still had a year left, but for some reason everybody here began to panic earlier than necessary.

My mum thought it be best if I stay at home to help her with her children. Yes; A fully grown women who already has three children needs her daughters help with babies. Do you guys remember when she said she had wished I was never born? I do.

I tried to defend myself and prove that the idea was stupid, but apparently my dad agreed with her ridiculous plan as he would be away on "business trips" the majority of the time so I would have to take over his job.

Don't have anymore kids, then? Especially not with a raging alcoholic who only stopped to replace her two sons with two more kids who wanted hardly anything to do with her.

David made so many false promises to see us with Gabbie but never showed to anything we invited them too. He couldn't even be bothered to wish me a happy birthday. John had been a no show since the week we left, so it didn't surprise me that we hadn't heard a word from him in over a year.

My family were a mess.

As I was saying, college was pointless to me right now but I was still determined to get the grades I needed because one day I would prove to my parents I didn't want to be a cheerleader or a stay at home sister. I had goals for my life, which was why I was also currently looking for a job.

"Princess?" Eddie pulled me out of my thoughts from the edge of the roller rink, dressed in a pair of sweat pants and a white band shirt. I pulled a face at him and rollerbladed out of the rink and over to him.

"I have so many questions right now." I looked him up and down whilst he waited for me to pay attention.

"You done?" He asked with a smirk lingering on his plump lips, hiding his hands in his pants pockets.

"Mhm" I mumbled quietly, trying to peel my eyes away from his body before they met his eyes. "What are you doing here?" I asked him politely, leaning into his body and giving him a kiss.

"Steve said you'd be here, so..here I am." Eddie took a look around the room awkwardly, watching adults and kids skate around and fall on their ass's.

"I'm Surprised that he even spoke to you." I began to skate off over to the bench, feeling a sting on my backside. "Eddie!" I scolded him. "We're in public." I pushed his chest a little before sitting down.

"Exactly, you can't be wearing something so sexy in public." He teased and pulled me into the crest of his arm.

"They're just shorts, everyone is wearing them." I shrugged and looked around, seeing if I could sight Kathleen. We both loved to roller skate on Saturdays and it had been a tradition every Saturday that we had free since being friends, which is why I was surprised as to Eddie's arrival. Surely he should've known where'd I be and with who.

"But those shorts on you should be illegal." He murmured slyly into my ear, leaving a wet kiss on the top of it. I snorted and moved out of his grip, leaning my hands on the bench.

"What are you doing here, anyway?" I asked curiously, not remembering us having any plans.

"I wanted to take you out on that date." A soft smile appeared on his face as he said the words, making me blush. He was leant over, leaning the bottom of his forearms on his knees whilst his hands were intertwined with one another, his head facing me.
