(Tsubomi Kido's POV)
Rarely did i ever find myself the one to have the spotlight, i was always a shadow behind various great figures.
The first of them was my sister, Rin Kido. Growing up together in my father's mansion was a hell to both of us.
He wasn't a good man by any means, he abandoned my mother and i at a very young age and left us to rot alone...not to mention i didn't even know he existed till the day my mother died when he came to her funeral.
I at times chuckle at that memory...soon after i met him he took me in to live with him and my sister, though we possessed different mothers and i felt anxious and scared of everyone...she still cared greatly for me.
Rin was a nobleman's daughter through and through, from the way she carried herself to her appreciation of proper etiquette, she was a source of admiration to me.
She didn't mistreat me in any way though unlike my father, she cared for me and even allowed me to continue using casual speech around her, even if our father despised us, he couldn't deny that Rin bested him in every manner as a leader to the family.
But she never got to showcase her talent as with jealousy comes forth evil...
Our father reached his breaking point when dealing with Rin one day and he decided to do something no person would expect from a noble like him and that is...to burn both his daughters.
He trapped the two of us within the basement of the mansion and ordered the servants to burn the place down...i remember very clearly how hard it was to breath and how Rin's face seemed to grow pale from suffocation but her pain didn't stop her from doing one last good thing...
She broke the window of the basement using her hands, they bled and were bright red much like her hair as she broke the window and gave me a hug.
'Live on Tsubomi!' are her last words to me before the flames and the brimstone came down crashing as the mansion began crumbling.
I screamed out for hours on end for someone to save her and help her!...but nobody was there.
The only supposed saving grace to me was a man who looked like the most average and kind man in the world.
He wore a long black coat and had gray hair slicked back, his smile and eyes were calm and mysterious as he addressed himself simply as....Shiba Taizen
He took me in to his orphanage, it was a murky and dimly lit place, there's no laughter to be heard nor childish idiocy to be found as you'd expect an orphanage to have.
It was hollow and i was scared.
I slowly began accepting my fate afterwards, i didn't have the heart nor the energy to hate my father on about what he did, i simply muttered...
"Damn you from today till the end of time"
I remember grumbling to myself a little afterwards before i found someone speaking up behind me.
"My my my! you look like a protagonist on the road of vengence there, Tsubomi-chan!"
When turning around i found behind me standing someone who i would later call...brother.
That someone was Kano, he looked exactly the same as he does now except he didn't have that overly snarky smirk nor the coat mom gave him, he simply stood behind me with a small smile.
"What do you want?..." i asked as i glared at him to which he smirked even more at me.
"Ehehe nothing!, i simply think you're pretty interesting, what's your story??!"
