Russia felt the grass poking his face before he even opened his eyes. He stifled a groan, feeling an ache where the bite was. The sting on his arm though, still stung as if it was a freshly inflicted wound. Maybe not that much time has passed?

Using his arms, one bitten and one somehow self-inflicted, he got up slightly, still on the ground. Dizzy, Russia didn't know why, he waited till he didn't feel the ground tilting. He couldn't make out what he was seeing, too blurry at the moment.

The pain pricking at him, Russia at least was able to wonder: shouldn't his wounds have healed by now?
When he finally saw where he was, he thought he was definitely in a different world this time.

Russia couldn't even remember being knocked out. Was that what happened?

Ugh... how long was he out for anyway? And where was that Third Roach? Damn it, that guy was definitely trouble from day one and Russia hadn't done anything about it. Not that he knew what he could do. Third Reich was too deep into the shadows. An undetectable danger.
Russia cursed himself for letting his guard down, again. Not even.

The sudden rush of emotions sent him dizzy-like feelings again. And even though he wanted to feel angry, he had to restrain stronger emotions before he knocked himself out. He still felt annoyed though. And irritated.

It took some time before he was able to take in his unintentionally newfound environment. He first noticed the glowing mushrooms. Yes, that's right.

Glowing mushrooms. Glowing mushrooms growing near logs. Near tree roots above ground. In small patches on the grass. Clustered around rocks.

However, despite those being the first things he actually took in, what really caught his attention were...

"Fireflies?" Russia thought, believing that he was definitely knocked around too hard.

He remembered there clearly being no life in the forest when the countries fully moved in. Yes, there were some animals that other countries hunted to get rid of their excess energy and thirst for blood (he hadn't joined), but they had mysteriously disappeared almost as suddenly as they were seen.

Not even an insect or bird remained. So yes, it was definitely odd to see tiny fireflies fluttering around. And from what Russia could see through the many leaves of the trees, it was night with stars dotting the skies.

Russia would've thought it calm if he wasn't so busy thinking about what Third was planning to do next.

Speaking of Third... where was he? Where was Russia?

The country raised his arm, the one that had the ice studded on it like some sick decoration. It hurt like a million thumbtacks, even that was an understatement as the pain even reached below the skin and sent his nerves in a twitch.

How'd the ice grow out of his skin? Russia avoided touching it, he didn't want to trigger something else. The internal base of the ice was dark red, his blood. Russia felt sick.

His own blood was growing them, sustaining the ice, even. Although Russia doubted many things, he just knew that this was the experiment that Third Reich was talking about.

Nevermind, he had to find his way out of this. It was most likely one of Third's landscapes again. Just how much did he have...

Russia slowly got up, avoiding the use of his arms. He stared at the bite, it had a nasty, thin, black crust forming around it and the blood was blackening as well.

His healing just wasn't kicking up. His immunity seemed to have depleted quite a bit and he was not surprised. His sleep deprivation had a negative effect on that too. Even so, the wound should've at least stopped bleeding. Must've gotten a Curse of Blood Loss/Joke.
