It's been 10 months since Jake broke up with Tara, and it suddenly hit him hard tonight. He's seated in the kitchen, a bottle of alcohol in front of him.

Jake looks depressed and like he hasn't slept in days. He's drinking heavily and trying to distract himself from his sadness.

Picking up the bottle, he pours himself a glass. Swishing the contents around, the clock reads 2:30AM.

His brown eyes staring at the contents inside. His ears however picked up the sound of somebody coming down the stairs.

Johnnie was coming downstairs and he saw Jake sitting in the kitchen, looking like a mess. He sighed and walked over to him, gently taking the bottle away.

"Hey-." Jake spoke up, but just shrugged it off. Downing his glass before setting it down on the table. His eyes slowly gazed over to Johnnie.

Johnnie frowned and sat down next to Jake. "You need to stop drinking."

Jake didn't say anything. He just bit the inside of his cheek. Then brushed his tongue on the inside of his bottom lip, which caused his snake bites to shift a bit from the movement of his tongue.

Johnnie noticed Jake's snake bites and couldn't help but think they were cute.

Jake makes a loud, 'click' with his tongue as he looks away towards the window. "I'll stop drinking when I'm fine." he replied, his breath had the scent of alcohol.

Johnnie sighed and gently took Jake's chin, making him look at him. "When was the last time you were fine?"

Jake stared into Johnnie's eyes for a second before quickly shifting his gaze. Towards the bottle that was a few feet away from him. He outstretched his arm and grabbed the bottle, pouring himself another drink.

Johnnie took the bottle away from Jake again. "No more drinking, okay? You're only making things worse for yourself."

Jake picks up the glass that he filled. Literally almost to the brim. He takes a swig and scrunches his face when he feels the alcohol burn down his throat.

"Just- hand me that bottle back, would you?" Jake asked, his speech slurred a bit. He didn't even comprehend what Johnnie said.

Johnnie shook his head. "No. You're not drinking anymore." Johnnie took the glass out of Jake's hand and poured it out into the sink.

Jake lightly scoffed when his glass got taken out of his hand. Watching how Johnnie poured it out. He remained seated however at the table, just watching.

Johnnie put the bottle and glass back on the counter and sat back down next to Jake. He was worried about him and wanted to help him feel better. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Jake pushed himself up from his chair. He just walked upstairs. He was avoiding it. As he walked, his hair moved a bit from the quick movement up the steps.

Entering his bedroom, Jake shuts the door. His room was pitch black. Shaking his head, he goes to his bed and lays on it. Opening up his phone and Instagram.

Johnnie remained downstairs, sitting at the table. Thinking about what could be troubling Jake.

As Johnnie thinks further, that's when he remembered, Tara and Jake broke up months ago.
