"Uncles!" Kev said sounding so excited when we saw Chi as we walked into my brother's house. Chi ran straight to him too. I absolutely loved the relationship they had with each other. It was so raw and organic. I smiled at the interaction and watched as Kev threw him in the air and caught him. Chi laughed hysterically, loved to see it. Kev had that natural dad instinct, I always noticed how boys were always excited to see their dads, you could tell they were the fun parents. I wondered what Chi's dad was like considering he ended up here. But I'll probably never know.   "I knew that had to be y'all the way he ran to that door." Martin said as he walked up and gave me a hug and shook Kev's hand. "What's up with y'all?" he asked as we all walked down the hall and out to the back by the pool. As soon as I seen Nicole in her swimsuit with her lil baby bump, I went over to rub on her belly.                                                                                                                                             "Girl keep that same energy when it's time for you to babysit." she said and we laughed.                  "You know I have no problem with it, I love the kids." I said as I looked over at Erica who was floating in the pool. "So you saying jump in, so I can rub your belly too?" I said to her.                        "Girllll....no! We might be rubbing on yours next, you're glowing." she said and I looked over at Martin who was staring at me.                                                                                                                                         "Either that tour got you like this or I don't know Sis. But I mean you know me, bruh dawg is good in my book, so I'm cool with that outcome." Mar said as they shook hands.                                "That's because Kev is solid, A1 for Day 1 type shit." Nicole said.                                                                      "True! Don't get me wrong, Jay is bruh too, but he gave reasons for us to question some things. I'm just glad that you are the total opposite Kevin." Erica said as she started to walk to get out of the pool.                                                                                                                                                                                       "That's because I'm not the type you gotta tell to keep it real. It's in me. Dom ain't never shown me anything short of being real, so I'll match and double it if at all possible." he said.                           "That's because Sis always been hella sincere and direct. So you'll either hate or love her. Ain't no in-between. But real recognize real." Nicole said.                                                                                            "That's how I knew within the first 2 days of meeting Kev that I liked him for you." Erica said.          "I appreciate y'all. But just know, she's in good hands." Kev said as he put his arm around me.    "I never even give it a second thought brody." Mar said as he passed him the blunt. "So...the reason I asked y'all to come through was because I was thinking about some things and I wanted to talk to y'all about it." Mar said and I locked eyes with him. "So...y'all know this house belongs to you as well. Y'all and lil mama included can always move over here if you like. Of course, you might wanna do your own thing and that's cool but this house isn't solely mine, so don't ever feel like that's what it is. Secondly, if you want your own space, I can always help y'all find a house that might be a little closer to here. I'm not trying to run or dictate anything, but you know my sister is my world for real and y'all kinda far out." Mar said and we all laughed.        "Yeah I'm not gone lie, I do wanna move closer out this way because the schools are better for my sister. Me and Dom had talked about that and whatnot, but it's really all in what she wants to do." he said. All eyes were on me and I had to think for a moment.                                                                "Y'all know this is always home to me, so you never had to explain the beginning at all bro...' I said as I hugged him. "...But you guys have this growing family and I'd rather this be the foundation for your family. I am however looking at houses and seen prospects nearby. So I'm sure we'll be closer soon." I said and my brother nodded.                                                                               "Cool, I just wanted to make sure we all had an understanding. But shit let's have some fun!" Martin said before he jumped in the pool and Kev followed suit. We did have fun chillin with them for some time, before Keish was ready to get picked up and we headed out.                           "You enjoy yourself?" he asked as we pulled out of the driveway.                                                            "Of course! This was cool for real. I'm glad your brother is good with me though, because as an older brother, I get the concern. At least you know he really cares."                                                              "I know he does, but I was always sure he'd love you." I said. It was quiet for a minute in the car and I looked over at him. "Oh and no pressure or anything, we can move whenever you're ready." I told him and he smiled and looked over at me.                                                                                    "We talked about this before. We said you could either move in or we'd find a spot together. So...I'm good with this. Plus, while we have the time, I'd definitely like to look. Especially before the school year starts, so I can get her established." he said to me.                                                               "How did I get so lucky?" I said to him and he smiled and grabbed my hand before he brought it to his lips and kissed it gently.                                                                                                                                         "We're both blessed." he said to me. For once in my life, I can say I wasn't afraid to be in love. This was probably the most healthy and well rounded relationship that not only I've been in but witnessed as well. I realize that we're young, but it was too real. I appreciated him, he appreciated me. I felt safe, secure, and adored. The only other person I got this from was my dad, he left some big shoes to fill. But my man definitely laced them shoes right on up, I know my dad was smiling from Heaven for sure.
