Ryan is a no nonsense type of guy and isn't one to do the relationship thing, it's not his style.
He's more of a hit it and quit it type of guy; some label him as a bad boy, but he's just living life the way he wants to....
That is, until one day...
I'm so excited for today, not only do I have zero priorities, but I get to hangout with a potential boyfriend. I know it's sad when you have to sneak around just to hang with someone, but we've been planning this day for almost two weeks now and everything is finally coming together.
I met Shawn about a month ago when I was at Wendy's picking up some food, I dropped my frosty and he cleaned up the mess and even ordered me a new one. We talked for almost an hour and he was soo sweet. Every since then we've talked whenever we have a chance to. I didn't go into too much detail about me, but I did fore-warn him that we had to keep this private and no one must know. That includes no pictures, videos, unexpected phone calls, presents, or coming by unless we were for sure we would be alone. I know it's hard to agree to these terms, but it will pay off in the end.
I got up earlier than I wanted but I still went ahead and planned to drop Charlotte off early. I texted Sammi to let her know I was coming early.
I left the house and texted Shawn that I was excited to see him, and I was making dinner for us. I've never been this excited for anything in a long time.

I'm at my dads house and I'm practically skipping towards the door. I knock and a few seconds later Sammi comes to the door with a big smile on her face, "I'm glad you're here! I've been waiting every since 5:30! Come on in!"
"I'm glad you agreed to watch Charlotte for me."
"No problem, I like having her around!" She happily said
"I might be back a little late tonight to get her, will that be a problem?"
"No not at all, matter fact why don't you let her stay the night."
"Really?! Oh thanks a bunch Sammi!" I said giving her a hug.
Dad came in the living room with a surprised look, "Two days in a row?! It must be Christmas!" He said giving me a hug
"Hey dad, I just came to drop off Charlotte because I'm heading out to Orlando today."
"I hope you have fun, you want some coffee or something before you go?"
"That would be nice, thanks dad." He went off in the kitchen and then a knock on the door.
"I'll get it." I handed Charlotte to Sammi and I went to go answer the door, when I opened it I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Mommy?!" It felt as if my breath was taken from me, I couldn't believe my mom was standing here in front of me.
"Hello Valerie." She smiled and gave me a tight hug. She faced me again with water in her eyes and cupped my face with both hands, "Oh how I missed you."
I smiled and almost started crying myself, "I missed you too, mom. Why don't you come in." She wiped the water from her eyes and walked in the house. She tried holding back the tears by smiling and holding on to my hand.
