Ryan is a no nonsense type of guy and isn't one to do the relationship thing, it's not his style.
He's more of a hit it and quit it type of guy; some label him as a bad boy, but he's just living life the way he wants to....
That is, until one day...
I was lead to Ryan's house and for the first time in two weeks, I finally felt free. I went up to the door and knocked on it and a few minutes later he came to the door. "Valerie? What are you doing out this late?"
"I had to come see you. Can I come in?"
He stepped aside to let me in, "Yeah come in."
I kept my head down because I didn't want to draw much attention to my face, it's not as swollen as it used to be, but if you look closely you could tell. "I thought I would be the last person you wanted to see." He said coming up behind me and sitting on the couch
"For a moment, but over the past two weeks, I've had a change of heart."
"Really? And what's that?"
"A few things but before I tell you that, I want to get this off of my chest....I.. I.. I'm pregnant."
"I know we're not together anymore, but that doesn't mean you can come around here and throw your happy relationship in my face!" He said angrily.
"No, Ryan you don't understand.."
"No! I understand! You want to flaunt your little boy toy and how great of a man he is and how he's so much better than me, right?!"
"No! Not right! He's not a great man! And what we did wasn't out of love! He raped me Ryan!!" I said yelling and feeling myself getting ready to break down crying.
"He raped me... You were right. I should've listened to you! Why was I being so stupid!" He got up and pulled me in a tight comforting hug
"No don't say that, you're not stupid." He said rubbing my back
"Yes I am! He raped me! It's all my fault!!"
"It's not your fault and I don't want to hear you say that! We all make mistakes." He said looking me in the eyes
"You were right... I should've listened.." I said sadly
"I wish I wasn't.. Who else knows about this?"
"Only you, I just escaped from his house and I didn't know where else to go."
"Are you going to tell Nathan? Or anyone else in the family?"
"Yes, I can't keep this from them. I'm going to tell Nate about it as soon as I leave from here."
"Go tell him now and if I were you, I wouldn't go back home afterwards. But I want you to call me when you make it, okay?" He said as he held my face in both his hands.
"Okay, I will... And thank you for understanding."
"No need to, now go." He gave me a peck on the nose and walked me to the car
"Don't forget to call." I shook my head and he closed the door for me, I cranked up the car and heading to Nate's house.
