45. I'm Home

~Valerie's POV~

It's been a crazy four days, being kidnapped, chained up to a room and in a basement, it just has been an eventful week and it's not even the weekend yet.

It was late in the evening when Ryan and I arrived at his parents house to pick up Jeremiah, I couldn't wait to see him. I'm really glad I decided to call Ryan that day instead of taking Jeremiah like I originally wanted to, there's no telling what would've happened to him.

"You've finally made it back! This is wonderful!" Lina answered the door all excited and elated. "Come in, Jeremiah is in the living room with Vlad."

We went inside and immediately Lina grabbed me into a tight hug, "I'm so happy you're alright! Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"

"Mom please.." Ryan started

"No Ryan it's okay. I'm fine Lina, but I don't think you should hug me for too long, I haven't showered in four days."

"Don't be silly, as long as you're okay." She cupped my face

"Really, I'm fine." I reassured. We walked in the living room and as soon as Jeremiah saw me he jumped and giggled

I ran to him and picked him up, "Hey my man! Did you miss me? Because I missed you!!" I kissed him all over his face and he laughed

"Valerie! Good to see you!" Vlad got off the couch and hugged me

"I told you son you could do it."

"Yeah I did before Valerie could knock me out again." He said sitting down

"Excuse me, you try having a bunch of random people come in and out of some strange room at unknown hours, you would start swinging to if you feel threatened." I said

"But you are okay, right?" Vlad asked

"Yes.. I've had my fair share of bad days, just one more to add to the list."

"Well I think we should get going." Ryan said getting up

"Aww I really wanted you two to stay a little longer, but I understand. We had fun with Jeremiah, he's a good baby." Lina  said

"Thanks for keeping him despite the circumstances. Next time hopefully it won't be like this." I said

"It was no problem, we love having our grandson over." Vlad said. I strapped Jeremiah in his car seat while Ryan grabbed his bags

"If you two ever need anything don't hesitate to call." Lina said

"Thanks again mom and dad."

"Don't mention it, if you get a chance call us." I put the baby in the backseat while Ryan put the bags in the back with the baby. I got in the car and for the first time in four days I felt a sense of relief, finally I was going to go home.

We got home past midnight and both Ryan and I were sleepy. Jeremiah was already asleep so I just put him in his crib and went to my room to take a shower. I skipped having food because I was more tired than hungry at this point. I took off my four day old clothes and got in the shower.

I didn't take long for my shower because it's hard enough to keep my eyes open. I dried off and just put on an oversized shirt and came out the bathroom and just fell over in the bed. Ryan was already half asleep but woke up when I got in the bed.

He rolled over and held me in his arms, "Are you wearing underwear?"

"No, I was to sleepy to put any on." I said

"If I wasn't tired, I would totally hit that." He yawned

"Good to know I still turn you on." I smiled

He laughed, " I missed you so much." Then he kissed me on the back of the neck

"I did too, but I knew you would come for me."

"You know it's past twelve, so I'm going to tell you now while we're up, happy anniversary."

"Thank you, you too. I have your present in the trunk of my car.. Wait! Your present!"

"Don't worry about it, I got your car for you and everything is still in it."

"So what do you want to do for our anniversary?" I asked

"I honestly didn't have anything planned because of what happened, but we can do something if you want."

"Not really, we can just enjoy each other."

"That's cool, I'd rather sleep all day anyway." He said snuggling up in my neck

"Me too, let's hope Jeremiah stays sleep for awhile and neither of us have to get up."

"Forget it, he knows when we're at our most sleepiest he cries all night long." He yawned again

"Maybe tonight will be different..." I relaxed my head in the pillow and started drifting off to sleep when the sound of crying woke me up

"I told you! We're never gonna get any sleep!" Ryan whined

I smiled, "You've put up with him for the past few days, I guess it's my turn now." I began to get up when Ryan pulled me back down

"No, you need to rest more than I do, don't worry about him I'll take care of it." He said getting out of the bed

"Thanks.." I said sleepily

He leaned over and gave me a kiss on the lips, "Get some sleep."

I laid back down on the pillow and began to slowly drift off once again.
