99. Trouble

~Valerie's POV~

The kids are off to school and I'm at the house by myself as usual. I cleaned up the house and I'm tired. I laid down on the couch to get a nap in to rest my eyes for a bit.

I was getting comfortable on the couch and was drifting off to sleep when I heard the door slam and it made me jump. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't because of the heavy footsteps, "Valerie!" I silently groan and turn over on the couch

"Val, get up." Ryan said shaking my arm

"What is it Ryan? I'm tired, can't this wait." I said wanting to go to sleep

"No it's important. It's about the twins, they got in trouble."

I sat up, "What? When?"

"About twenty or so minutes ago." He said looking at his watch

"I wonder why the school didn't call me, I was here the whole time." I said getting up

"I told them that anything dealing with the twins to call me first because if they call you first, you'll just let them off the hook and won't tell me they got in trouble."

"That's not true."

"It is true, now go get ready so we can go."

"Alright, fine." I went upstairs to the room to find myself something decent to wear besides my holy tye dye shirt, pink shorts and this silk scarf tied on my head

I chose to wear a simple white shirt with a jean skirt and sandals. I untied the scarf and I just ran my fingers through my hair and let it hang. I went back downstairs and he immediately started rushing me out the door

"I don't know why these two just can't fucking behave!" He said slamming the door and cranking the car up

"They'll learn." I said

"Yeah they'll learn alright, when I'm done beating their asses they'll learn to behave."

We made it to the school and Ryan is still pretty ticked off that he has to come down here, I'm not happy about it either but unlike Ryan, I'm going take a non aggressive approach

I walked in the principals office first and when the twins saw me they had a relieved look, but when Ryan came in they immediately tensed back up and just wanted to disappear as Ryan angrily glared at them

"Glad you two could make it, please have a seat." Ms. Johnson said

"Well I'm going to get right to it. There was an incident that occurred and the twins said some things that alarmed Ms. Brown."

"What did they say?" I asked

"Isaiah said please do not send us to the office because they will call my parents and my dad will beat me soo hard that my butt will go numb and I won't be able to sit down for a week. Then Zayn said and if our moms ever in a bad mood, she'll just smack us in the head with her shoe like she normally does sometimes." Ms. Johnson said as Ryan looked over at the twins and they tried to avoid any eye contact

"We are not abusive to our kids. We treat them all the same and yes we do believe in punishment, but not to the point where we leave any kind of bruises on them." I said

"And I totally understand, I myself am a parent and I know it can be difficult sometimes to raise your child. This is just something we have to go over with you just to be sure that there isn't any abuse in the home. Now with that being said here's how it all started. The boys haven't been doing their homework for the past three days now, and their grades have slipped."
