My ankle is doing a whole lot better than what it was months ago, now I'm able to move around a lot more and get back to what I was doing before the accident, and this time around I'm going to be a little bit more careful.
When I broke my ankle, I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do what I had planned to do, which is be very supportive of Diana as she started her first year of soccer. She was so hyped when she got on the team and was going to the practices, but then when I got hurt I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to any of the games or practices because I couldn't be on my feet for so long.
Because of that she wanted to quit, she realized that I was really going to be the only there to support her because Ryan is working, Jeremiah has basketball, Lilly has French and the twins are just there, but I told her that this was only temporary and everything would work out and thankfully they did.
However, I'm still on the crutches and a boot until my physical therapist says that I can get off of them, but I'm only on one crutch so it's not that bad. "Did you see me out there running?" Diana asked sprinting up with her cheeks all rosy and hair sticking out of her ponytail
"I certainly did, I think you might run faster than I do." I smiled wiping the sweat from her face with a towel as she panted
"No way mommy, I could never beat you."
"Well, if we were to race right now I bet you'll be able to beat me then."
"Only because you're hurt, I'll never be as fast as you."
"You keep trying and I promise you one day, you can do it. All you have to do is believe." I said and kissed her on the nose
She smiled, "I believe that one day I can do it, but right now I'm not so sure about that." She said and I laughed. "I'm going to go get the rest of my stuff and say bye to my friends then we can go home."
"Ok." I said as she went on to get her things and I began to get my stuff together as well
When I went to step down from the bleachers I was immediately confronted with by Kara's dad who is best friends with Diana. I'm thinking he's coming over to be nice because we've never met before and I know Kara's mom really well. "Are you supposed to be Diana's mom?" He said with a little attitude
I remained calm, "I am her mom and what can I help you with?"
"Your daughter and my daughter are best friends with each other and personally I don't like it." He said
"Annd? What don't you like about it?" I asked totally confused
"I don't like the fact that my daughter is friends with someone who comes from an evil Communist family." He spat
