Ryan is a no nonsense type of guy and isn't one to do the relationship thing, it's not his style.
He's more of a hit it and quit it type of guy; some label him as a bad boy, but he's just living life the way he wants to....
That is, until one day...
*Pst, hey, guess what? There's only one more chapter left.*

"Where has the time went?" Valerie said
"Mom, don't start this." Jeremiah said
"No I'm serious, you're eighteen now. You're no longer my baby boy but a man now."
"A man who's still living at home but that'll all change once I graduate high school and go on to college and meet soon freaky college chicks, who's down for whatever." He smiled
"You just don't make me a grandmother too soon, I'm not watching your kids while you go hump around with every girl on campus."
"Don't worry ma, kids are out of the question. To be honest, I really don't even like kids like that. I tolerate them but myself personally having any is a very slim chance." He said as Ryan came from around the corner
"Happy birthday."
"Thanks dad." Jeremiah smiled
"Can you believe it? Our baby is eighteen now." Valerie said holding holding his face in her hands
"Mom." He whined "You're making it worse. I haven't even went anywhere yet."
"I know, but I'm just not ready for you to go just yet."
"Alright Val, let the boy go, you're smothering him." Ryan said as he pulled her away from Jeremiah
He sighed, "Thank you. Mom, can you please get it together, it's not like I'll leave you forever, imma come back."
"Alright, I'm just overwhelmed. I knew this day would come but it just came so soon that I wasn't ready for it, but it's here now and I can't do anything about it."
"If it makes you feel any better, he'll be here tomorrow." Ryan said
"Actually I told Tony that I would spend the night over at his house tomorrow and we were gonna shot some hoops later." He said as Ryan cleared his throat and looked at him.
"Or, I could just cancel. I can spend the night at Tony's anytime."
"You see Val, he'll be here tomorrow and the day after that, all the way up until he leaves for college which isn't for another eight months, so you're good."
"That makes me feel a little better." She said
"Good and trust me, as the time goes on, it will get easier. And as for you birthday boy, follow me I have a surprise for you."
"Did you buy me a new Benz?"
"No."
"That mansion in Beverly Hills where I can have all of the cute girlies from school come by and kick it with no clothes on." He smiled
"You can get that yourself, but I got you something that you've been asking me for awhile now and I figured now would be the right time." Ryan said as he reached over on his desk and gave him court side tickets to the Golden State game
"No Way! You got me these! I'm gonna see Steph Curry! Thanks dad, this is the best birthday present ever!"
"You're very welcome. It's your eighteenth birthday and you should have a little fun." Ryan said as he poured vodka into two shots glasses and gave one to Jeremiah
"You're gonna let me drink too?!" He asked excitingly
"No, just a shot. You'll have to wait until your twenty one to get a full glass."
Jeremiah went to turn the glass up but it began to burn his throat and he scrunched up his face. "That burns, I don't see how you can take it down with such ease. Next time, can I get something with a little less sting."
"Luckily it wasn't whiskey, that tends to leave a burning after taste when you drink it. With vodka, it burns and that's it."
"With that in mind, I'll take a margarita. You can't go wrong with sugar."

"Can you believe it, court side seats. We're gonna see all of the action up close and personal." Jeremiah said to Dylan as they were walking to their seats
"I know, maybe if we're lucky, one of the dancers might come over and give us a little dance if you know what I mean." He said nudging Jeremiah in the arm as they both chuckled
"Ugh, you guys are so gross. Women are not some sexual objects that you can just snap your fingers and she comes running at your beck and call. Women are human beings too." Lilly said
"Come on Lil, it was a joke, you don't have to get on your feminist high horse, we were only kidding." Jeremiah said
"Well, others may not see it that way. Think of the example that you're setting for Diana. You're eighteen now, you should be more cautious of what you-" Before she could finish she noticed the Warriors were coming out of the locker for warmups
"Oh my, is that James Michael McAdoo? Look at how tall he is and his muscles are glistening and so hard looking." She said biting her bottom lip
"Men are not sexual objects that you can fantasize about in your little nasty dreams young lady." Jeremiah teased
"Yeah, think of the example you're setting for Diana. You're her big sister and you should show her the right way." Dylan added
"And the right way is, marry a basketball player. They make seven figures and they're good with their hands." She said as she bit down on her finger and watched the players warmup
