25. Dress shopping

~Valerie's POV~

"I really like this dress Val, it totally fits you." Sierra said

"I don't know about that one C, it looks too ratchet for me." Addison said

"How about one with some ruffles." I look at mom like she had three heads

"Ruffles ma, seriously? This isn't an 80's iceskating party this is my wedding day!" This is the start of the most stressful time leading up to the wedding, dress shopping. All three have their own personal opinion about what type of dress I should pick, but in the end it's what I want and certainly ruffles are out of the question.

"Yes ruffles. You could have them on the sides and could even hang down in the front."

"What time period are you in right now? Because I'm not putting ruffles no where on my dress."

"How about this one, it's a nice low cut in the back and has an off the shoulder." Sierra said showing me the dress on the rack

"Tempting, but the dip is too low in the back. If a breeze hits, everyone will be able to see my butt."

"All the more to get it. Let everyone see what they can't have." She said smiling

"Okay now this is the perfect one. It classy yet sexy at the same time, go try it on." Addison said shoving the dress at me

"Alright fine, I'll go try it on." From the outside it looks like I'll be covered in head to toe with the dress, but it's not even like that. It was a perfect fit and I actually liked it.

"Ok guys what do you think?" I asked coming out of the dressing room

"Oh Valerie you look adorable, let me get a picture." Mom said taking her phone out

"Ma, please stop with the pictures." I said putting my hand over my face

"Come on, these are the moments of your life."

"And the hippie saves the day, yet again." Sierra said smiling

"Yea thanks Addison. I actually like this one. Ma'am I want this one." I said to the lady

"Ok, when would be a good time to have it ready for you?"

"End of March will be fine."

"Ok, we will have it ready for you when you come back." I went back in the dressing room to take the dress off, while Addison and Sierra searched for their bridesmaids dresses.

"I'll be right back, I have to make a call." I went outside to call Sammi. The last time we talked was a little over a week ago and she doesn't know about me getting married

"Sammi baby! What's good?!"

"Nothing Valerie Chi! Just hanging out with my cousins."

"I have some news for you and I think you're gonna like it."

"Ok, what is it?"

"I'm getting married!"

"Oh how wonderful! Congratulations. When did he ask?!"

"Last weekend. I know it's late to let you know, but this week just really went by in one big blur."

"That's quite alright, at least you told me."

"And also I want you to be here for it."

"Ooh, I don't know.."

"Aw come on Sammi! It's my wedding. I'll even fly you out, I just want you there."

"When is it?"

"April."

"Three months from now.. Ok I'll come."
