Val awoke from her sleep as she stretched her stiff muscles and looked around to not see Ryan anywhere. She looked at the clock on the nightstand to read 9am as she threw the covers back when Ryan came in the room with workout clothes on

"Good morning, I was hoping you wouldn't sleep in." He said

"I felt like it, but I figure I might as well get up." She said getting out of the bed

"Well in that case, you wanna come workout with me?"

"Really?"

"Yeah, it's been a long time since we worked out together. We used to do it every morning."

"And then we had kids and that put a stop to everything. I guess it wouldn't hurt to workout for a few minutes, it might wake me up. I'll go get ready." She said finding some workout clothes and going into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face

She came out of the bathroom and tied up her shoes to leave the room to find Ryan at the breakfast bar eating a banana. "I saved half of this for you." He said handing her the rest of the banana as she unpeeled the rest and ate it

"Thank you."

"Let me grab my phone and then we can go."

"Ok, I have the key." She said heading out the door and decided to go over across the hall to let the kids know they were about to go workout.

First she knocked and then used the second key to the room. "Boys, it's me mom." She went inside to find everything still like the way it was last night. She went in the bedroom and found their beds made with no one in there. "Boys!" She said again as she checked the bathrooms and still couldn't find anyone

"There you are, what are you doing over here?" Ryan said as she came back in the living room

"I'm looking for the boys and they're not here!" She said beginning to freak out

"It's alright, the kids are at the park."

"By themselves?!"

"Yes and no, but they're alright." He said calmly

"I just want to be sure." She said taking out her phone and calling Jeremiah

"Hey mom!" He answered as she blew a sigh of relief

"Hi hun, are you having fun?"

"Yes, I went on the tornado three times in a row and I haven't thrown up yet."

"Sounds fun. I just wanted to make sure that everything is okay."

"Everything's good here."

"Stay together and don't run off from each other, I'll see you when you get back." She said

"Ok mom, bye."

"Bye." She said hanging up the phone as Ryan hugged her from behind

"I told you everything would be fine."

"Ryan, you can't just let our kids run free like some wild animals and especially in another city."

He sighed, "I understand your concern, but they deserve some freedom as well. They know what's right and what's wrong, what to do and what not to do, plus I have some men watching over them, so if something was to happen they'll be safe."

"Ok, but could you inform me first before I start having a massive panic attack."

"I will, but right now let's get going." He said kissing her on the side of the face
