You ran, feet kissing the land. Those feet were made to travel at speed and as light as the paws of a lioness. Your heart throbbed inside your chest, sweat rolling down your skin in salty beads and the graceful springing of steps was the continuous movement to your second round.

Soon after, footsteps from behind approached you and his evident breath made you turn to him. You slowed your pace as you recognised that face. The warm humidity made you feel sticky and suffocated but you couldn't do anything to make yourself look appealing for him. He was just so comfortable in seeing the real you, the athletic formula one racing driver. Truth be told, you liked him and his name is Wonho.

Seeing his clothes and hair which were slick with perspiration made your forehead to crease. 'Was he running just now?'you thought as you scanned him from head to toe and reminiscing if you ever saw him entering the running track but perhaps your mind was so preoccupied in training.

"I didn't see you running,"you averted your eyes away from Wonho.

He chuckled in response, his lips curving upwards due to your impenetrable concentration. "I was running behind you the whole time,"said Wonho.

You tilted your head and blinked blankly at your unconsciousness. The immense focus was always to be blamed because it made you seem ignorant and oblivious.

"Wanna race?"Wonho nudged your arm with a sly smirk plastered on his face.

You narrowed your eyes at him, as if glaring. He took your stare lightly and still carried on to give suggestions.

"The person who reaches the finishing line first is the winner and the loser has to grant his or her wish. Deal?"he cocked a brow.

You stared at him in disbelief. Never have you finished your training with such peace because Wonho would always be there to interfere. Once, you ignored him and continued running but he glued to your side and bombarded questions. In the end, your concentration on the run was disrupted. However, you didn't hate it at all. You just wondered why he does that all the time.

"But I-"

"Deal!"Wonho cut you off and started sprinting to the finishing line.

Your jaw dropped to the floor, seeing how cunning he was. You shook your head with a chuckle before clutching your hands tight and bolting down the lane in hopes of closing up the gap. As he ran, his long black hair whipped back and forth and when he glanced to the back to check on you with a smile, it was like the sun opened its eager light to shine on him, only brightening his perfectly aligned teeth. At that moment, it was as if time stopped for a split second. This man whom you like secretly made you feel happy for being alive.

Since Wonho had a head start, he clearly finished the race faster. He pumped his fists up in the air with an infectious grin. Automatically, you slowed down and jogged to him while shaking your head. 'He's such a cheater,'you thought.

"Grant my wish!"he said with a posture of a ruler.

"That's not fair. You started earlier than me,"you jabbed your finger at him.

He slapped your finger away and shook his head. "I made the race so I make the rules too. Treat me to meat! I'll meet you at the gate,"he spunned on his heels and waved his hand.
