   Y/N'S POV

  It was hard being a single mother, but my baby girl kept me going. Just because she couldn't count on her father, it didn't mean she couldn't count on me. My baby girl's name was Selina. Yes, I did name her after my mother. And no, my father wasn't Batman. My father was just a normal guy, and he was still alive today. That, I was grateful for.
  It looked like Selina was up. I walked over to her crib and picked her up. I wiped her mouth, and she just stared at me. I laughed at the face she was making, before Selina began to cry. I thought that she was hungry, but she wouldn't drink her milk. Then, I tried to give her a toy, but she just dropped it.

  I rocked her, but she just continued to cry. There was a knock on the front door, and I walked down the stairs and over to the door. When I saw who it was, I blushed, but I opened the door.

  Jason, immediately hearing Selina crying, asked me,"What did you do to her, Y/N?"

  "I didn't do anything, Jase, but hello to you too."

  Jason smiled at me, and I really loved his smile. I had it hard for Jason, but I didn't know how he felt about me. I could just ask him, but he always had to leave when I really wanted to ask him. But, maybe he could stay today.

  Jason took Selina from me, and she stopped crying.

  Jason smirked at me saying,"Someone loves me."

  I rolled my eyes, before I said,"You can come inside, Jason. No one's about to pop out and scare you."

  Jason walked inside and sat down on the couch with Selina in his arms. I slowly closed the front door and joined Jason on the couch.

  As Jason looked at Selina, he asked me,"How have you been?"

  "Good. Selina's schedule has been a little crazier than usual lately, but I'm good at adjusting when I need to."

  Jason finally looked away from Selina and over at me saying,"You haven't called me at all this week. Is there a reason for that, Y/N?"

  "Yes. There are two reasons for that. The first is that I've been working extra hours this week to catch up on my bills. The second is..um..."

  Jason moved closer to me and rested his hand on my knee saying,"Y/N, what's the second reason? I'm listening."

  I noticed how Jason held Selina. He held her as if she was his own child, and he always treated Selina well whenever he was around. He had been a tremendous help with Selina, and I didn't know if the second reason was going to scare him away.

  "Y/N?"

  Jason's hand was now on my face, and he said,"Well, before you give me the second reason, let me tell you why I'm here. I'm here, because I want to be here for you and Selina. I want to do everything that I can to prevent you from feeling any more pain. I'm sorry he didn't want to be here for you and Selina, but I'm willing to be here as both your best friend and boyfriend, if you'll let me."

  I hugged Jason carefully, so that I wouldn't hurt Selina.

  "Jason, I want you to be here too, and I expect you to be around as much as you can. I'd love to be your girlfriend, and you don't even know how much this means to me."

  Jason kissed my forehead and pulled me into his side saying,"Y/N, I have an idea of how much this means to you."
