                 Why did you kiss me

Charlis POV:
I never actually thought he'd kiss me.
I don't think he was thinking, but part of me asks why he did? Was it because he wanted me to forgive him? Maybe because he didn't wanna lose me or was it because he has feelings for me? I really don't know.
But I just couldn't sit there and listen to him beat himself up over a stupid kiss. I couldn't listen to him talk about how blaire has always been loyal to him, how she's a nice person and how she'd "never" cheat on him.
So I said it. Do I regret it? No.
He deserves to know the truth about the woman he is marrying.

Chase: "what..?"

Now how do I explain this

Charli: "it's true.. I'm sorry Chase"

I watched him go from guilty to sad.

Chase: "no. That's not true."
Charli: "it is.."
Chase: "how do you know?!"

He's yelling at the wrong person
I'm just the messenger

Charli: "I saw it on her phone and I confronted her about it"

I saw a tear roll down his cheek.
He wiped it quickly

Chase: "and you knew..? This entire time? And you never told me??"
Charli: "I didn't want to hurt you!"
Chase: "and you wanna hurt me now? On my wedding day?"
Charli: "would you rather not have known??"
Chase: "yes"

More tears rushed down his face

Chase: "w-well it's okay. B-because I kissed you and s-she kissed another guy. W-we are even"
He said holding back tears

I sighed

Charli: "don't say you guys are even because you're not and I think you know that. We had a meaningless kiss while they definitely did more than kiss"
Chase: "I wish you never told me that"

Why? I don't understand why he's still even considering marrying her??

Charli: "she doesn't deserve you. You are a great person Chase, she's not."
Chase: "well it doesn't matter anymore love..."
Charli: "why?"
Chase: "doesn't matter if she's a great person or a terrible person. She's having my kid, getting married is the best option"

Are you kidding me?

Charli: "no no, getting married is always the worst option. It's gonna end in divorce. Blaire is not right for you and it doesn't matter if she's having a baby or not, you need to break things off with her"

Chase: "and you? Why do you care. You're unhappily married and I've told you so many times to break up with him. You've never listened to me once."

Charli: "that's because it's too late to save me. But In your case, you can easily be saved. You just have to stop this wedding"

Chase: "I can't. It's the best for the kid, growing up in a real family.. with 2 parents, who are there for them, no matter what"

He's talking about himself now isn't he

Charli: "I know you don't want this kid growing up without 2 parents but that doesn't mean you have to marry her"

Chase: "it's fine Charli. It was 1 mistake, that doesn't make her a terrible person"

I really wanna tell him that the kid isn't his. It would probably stop him from marrying her but that would be selfish of me.

Charli: "she is a terrible person. Just trust me"
Chase: "I don't care, she was there for me when nobody else was. I'm still marrying her."
Charli: "it doesn't mat-"
Chase: "let me tell you the story about when i tried killing myself."

Am I supposed to be shocked?

Charli: "oh my. You tried killing yourself"
Chase: "Blaire already told you this story didn't she"

Am I that bad at acting shocked

Charli: "yeah, she did"
Chase: "course she did. Why are you still my friend then?"
Charli: "why not"
Chase: "I wouldn't wanna be friends with someone who's been to 13 different mental hospitals"
Charli: "you've changed, right?"
Chase: "yes"
Charli: "then why shouldn't I be your friend"

He shrugged

Chase: "alright"

Chases POV:
I can't believe that Blaire is cheating on me. I wish Charli never told me.
i don't understand why she chose to tell me now. I'm getting married today, now I don't know if this whole thing was a mistake or not.
I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. We've been together for so long and I thought she was happy.
And this whole time she's been accusing me of cheating on her with charli when she is the one who isn't loyal. Yeah Charli and I kissed, but that's it. It was a meaningless kiss.

Also I still No idea why charli wants to be friends with someone like me, an ex sociopath
But okay.

Charli: "why did you kiss me"

Why is she asking me questions I don't know the answer to.

Chase: "it was mutual."
Charli: "well why did we kiss"
Chase: "i was caught up in the moment, I asked you for consent before we kissed, you should have said no"
Charli: "I was caught up in the moment too."
Chase: "okay yeah, so it didn't mean anything. It was stupid"
Charli: "it was"
Chase: "yup"
Charli: "just to making things clear, don't tell anyone."
Chase: "I know"

So we agree. It was stupid and it was a mistake

Charli: "okay so it's never happening again, right?"
Chase: "right- well I mean, you can never say never"

I looked at the door and it opened-

Blaire: "my God, what are you guys doing?? And why is Charli here?! I told you to un invite her!"

Oh my god. It's open. Finally! We are out

Chase: "told you someone would find us"

We stood up and walked out

Chase: "we been stuck in here for like 3 hours"
Blaire: "why didn't you just get out"
Chase: "because it was locked"
Blaire: "whatever"

I can't look at her the same.

Blaire: "well let's go, say hi to the guests!"

Charlis POV:
Can't believe he's still marrying her when he knows what she's done. He deserves better.

I walked out the door to the wedding.
I looked at everyone sitting down.

Oh my god-
Alexander-
He's here?!!
How did he find me?? And why is he dressed up?? Is he here for the wedding?? Why?? I don't understand?! Why is he here??

I walked over to blaire.

Charli: "did you invite that man?"
I pointed over at him

Blaire: "yes. He's a close friend"

Oop. More drama coming next chapter, I think it will finally actually be the wedding chapter
