A strange family

Charlis POV:
Bo climbed on top of me almost drowning me under the water and I laughed

Chase: "bad dog!"
He laughed

Charli: "I talked to Lydia today"
Chase: "you did?"

I nodded

Chase: "I haven't talked to her since we saw her last, I feel horrible. I'm a horrible dad."

We are both terrible parents, he shouldn't feel bad

Charli: "she said she was having a lot of fun and she made new friends"
Chase: "wow that's great"

I nodded

Charli: "it is"

I moved closer to him so we were next to each other squished at the side of the bath
He put his arm around me and kissed me

Chase: "look at us, having a real relationship, building a family"

We looked at the dog and I laughed

Charli: "we have a very strange family"

He nodded

Chase: "we sure do but I couldn't be happier"

I kissed him

Chase: "I hope Lydia will like Bo"
Charli: "I am sure she will"

At this point, my life couldn't feel more complete. Even though Chase and I have only been dating for 2 weeks, and Lydia lives in a different continent, I feel like I have a family.

Charli: "Tomorrow we should take Bo to the vet after your work, he seems like he's been out on the streets for a long time"

He could be sick

Chase: "yes, we will walk him there together. Last thing we want is Bo to die the first day we have him"

Looks like Chase has finally committed to being a full time boyfriend, no more leaving randomly

His phone started ringing-

He has to leave doesn't he.
No, maybe he doesn't. Maybe it's someone else

Charli: "are you gonna get that..."

He shook his head

Chase: "I'd rather spend time with you"

It's probably around 3am and we are bathing with a dog, this is very weird

I smiled

Charli: "You can go if you want. You don't have to be guilted into spending time with me"

I want him to stay of course, but only if he wants to stay

Chase: "love, I wouldn't rather be anywhere else but here. With you."

I smiled

Bo jumped out of the water and ran away getting all the floors bubbly and wet

Charli: "goddammit Bo!"

I stood up quickly and grabbed a towel wiping the floors as I chased him around the house
