Charlis POV:
secret admirer? who? it must be chase right- no.
he was with me the whole day. it could not have been him? who was it?

nevermind. it was probably the creepy neighbor. he must have really dug into me if he found my birthday. what a creep.

I quickly ripped the name tag off and put it in the garbage before chase could see it
he walked over to the cake and looked at it

the cake said "happy birthday Charli"
I took a bag of icing and added "and Chase"

he smiled

Chase: "love, you made it look bad"
He laughed

Charli: "I think it looks better"
I smiled at him

Chase: "whos it from?"
Charli: "I do not know"

we probably shouldn't eat it considering it could be somebody trying to kill me? a lot of people hate me

Chase: "did it have a name?"

I don't wanna make him feel bad, I'm not gonna tell him.
its stupid anyway. im not in high school. why do I have a secret admirer.

Charli: "nope. it just came like this. with nothing else"

i know I really should not be lying- but what's it gonna do? its a little white lie

Chase: "thats strange."

I took out a knife and cut the cake

Charli: "this is the knife I killed him with you know"
I laughed

Chase: "what?!"
Charli: "kidding"

I think

Chase: "why are you making these horrible jokes"

I think they are good

Charli: "I need to buy your gift soon"

he glared at me

Chase: "how many tim-"
Charli: "and how many times will I have to say no? I am getting you a gift and it will cost money."

He can say no all he wants but I'm still buying him a gift

Chase: "no? If you buy me a gift that's expensive I'm not gonna take it"

He bought me an expensive gift. Why should I take it?

Charli: "fine, then take this back"

I took it off my wrist and put it in his hand

Chase: "no?"

What he is saying does not even make sense. He doesn't want me to spend my money on him for his birthday
But he is aloud to spend his money on me for my birthday? This is unfair. I will get him a gift and I don't care how expensive it is.

He gave me the bracelet back

His choice, him giving me this gives me the right to give him a gift.

Chases POV:
I really didn't wanna make today about me. Charli has been through a lot more in the past few months and I really just wanted to celebrate her getting out of jail.

But now she wants to get me a gift and every thing, but I really don't want a gift? I don't want her spending a lot of money on something I won't need. All I wanna do is spend time with her.

She walked over to the couch and sat down next to me

Chase: "this house is huge and I don't think I've ever once slept in an actual bed here. You always make me sleep on the couch"
Charli: "you can have a room"
