Thought I'd do something special for Halloween

Masons POV:
When I first met Charli, I didn't expect her to be how she is. Why do I like her? Because she's different. She's not boring. She keeps you on your toes and most people would say she isn't marriage material but shes the exact opposite. She is marriage material, well at least to me she is. She does make a lot mistakes but that's what I like about her, your marriage would never get boring if you were with her. She'd always have a way to keep you entertained.

Il admit I do feel bad that I slept with my cousins girl, but all I did was prove that she isn't meant for him? She kissed me back for a reason.

She's a stubborn one. I don't get her? One minute she's all over me the next she hates me. Why? Is it because she loves chase? Or is it because she's afraid she might like me.

I sat down on the couch beside them and looked at them all cuddled up with the blankets over them.

I cannot explain to you how many times a day I see them flirting. All they do is flirt. It disgusts me.

I used to feel bad that I was potentially breaking up a young love.
But then I realized this isn't what Charli wants. She doesn't want someone like Chase, young, immature. She wants something older like me, mature and wise.

Doesn't matter if chase wants to marry her, at the end of the day she will always pick me because she wants me.
Il admit, we will have to make some changes. Once I've gotten to know her a bit better if noticed she's a little immature in some scenarios. Il teach her how to be better. She'll learn and grow from me.

Chase: "hello?? Is anyone gonna answer my question?"

Huh- oh.

Mason: "I don't know Charli. Why do you hate me"

I know I know, the easiest way to get chase to hate her for good is to tell him everything. One problem with that, not only would he hate Charli forever but Charli would hate me forever. So I can't do that.

Charli: "I don't hate you. You're just annoying. That's it."

I noticed her hands running down chases face, through his hair, playing with the strands.

She's trying to make me like this? She wants me to notice

Chase: "that's it? That's why you hate him?"

She nodded
She shifted her position to on his lap. His arms went around her waist.

I couldn't help but to notice how Chase looked at her. Like she was the only girl in the world. The only girl he had eyes for.

I hated it.
Every thing we've been through? Everything we've done? Nothing.
It's nothing to her.

Charli: "yup, that's the only reason"

Nothing.

Chase: "hm. Okay. Makes sense."

Don't get me wrong, I love my cousin. But it's so hard to see him with her.
I'm trying so desperately not to hate him because you're supposed to hate the guy who is sorta dating the girl you want but I'm not allowed to hate him

I don't really consider him competition because I know I can get Charli any time. Chase treats her so nicely, almost too nicely. He is probably the best boyfriend ever? He compliments her every chance he gets, he's always touchy, he makes her feel loved.

But I just have a feeling she doesn't want that. She wants more

I continued to watch the movie and all I heard in the background was giggling and laughing.

I can't listen to this anymore.
I'm so sick of this constant flirting. It hurts my ears.

I'm trying to watch the movie?? Do they ever stop talking??

I stood up and walked away

Maybe she was right. Maybe I shouldn't be here. I don't feel like their friends, I feel like their babysitter.
I feel like I'm babysitting teenagers.

I walked over to the pizza and it was ready.

I took the oven mittens and put them on. I took the pizza out of the oven and put it on the table

Mason: "kids! Dinner is ready"

They looked over and ignored me

I watched as Chase moved his hands around her waist, touching her skin, touching her.
At that moment I wanted to kill him.

What am I thinking?? He's my cousin.
He doesn't know about Charli and I. I'm sure he wouldn't do that if he did know.

Mason: "hello?? Let's go??"
Charli: "shut up we're coming mom."

They laughed

She acts different with him. She acts like an immature teenager.

Chase: "alright we actually have to go"

He picked her up and brought her over to the kitchen

Charli: "practicing for the wedding I see?"

He nodded

He put her down at the table.

We all sat down at the table and started eating the pizza

Charli: "when you get to call Lydia, can you come over?"

He nodded

Charli: "I'm sorry- I know you don't have much time on the phone with her- I just-"
Chase: "you're her mother, she needs you as much as she needs me, If not more."

Lydia. This girl is a major problem for me because she's their daughter. So no matter what happens, they will always be family in some messed up way.
Even if they only get to see their daughter once or twice a year, she keeps them together. She brings them closer.

I looked at Charli beside me and I put my hand on her thigh under the table

I need her to answer my question. Does she or does she not wanna be with me?

By her face I could tell she didn't like what I was doing so I took my hand off of her.
Once I took it off and she grabbed my wrist and put it back on.

For Halloween I made a scary chapter of what goes on in masons brain 👹
As we can see in this chapter, he struggles to like chase and he wonders if Charli really is immature?

The way she acts around Chase is different then the way she acts around mason because She has different personalities around different people. But the question is? Which one is her real personality?
