Stood up
Chases POV:
The waiter came by for the 5th time
Waiter: "still waiting?"
I nodded
Chase: "I'm sure she will be here soon.."
Waiter: "hate to break it to you but I think youve been stood up"
No. Charli wouldn't do that.
Chase: "I'm sure she just thought it was at 7"
The waiter pointed at the clock
"7:17pm"
...
Waiter: "well you could order for her? Do you know what she would want"
Yeah I guess I can order for us, she will probably be here by the time the meals come
I looked at the menu and nodded
Chase: "yeah, she would want a Chateaubriand steak with Béarnaise sauce and for me, Do you have any vegetarian meals?"
Waiter: "sir this is a meat restaurant, are you vegetarian?"
Chase: "yes"
Waiter: "why did you come here then??"
Chase: "because I knew she liked this place."
...
Waiter: "you're a real one"
Chase: "I just wanted it to be special."
He nodded
Waiter: "well she's lucky she has a boyfriend like you."
Oh I wish...
No- no I don't wish- that would be wrong- I have a wife.
Waiter: "well we have salads? Do you want that?"
Chase: "is that the only vegetarian thing?"
Waiter: "yes"
Chase: "okay I guess Il have that"
Waiter: "okay it should be here shortly"
He wrote it down and left
I don't think she's coming... it's been an hour and 20 minutes. Maybe she thought we agreed on 8? I doubt it but there's still hope...
Even though this isn't a date I just really wanted today to be special...
I wanted it to be perfect but maybe that's too much to ask for... maybe she just didn't want to come after thinking about it. I would get it... I told her I loved her and it's only been a few weeks. We aren't even dating.
Time skip ⏭
20 minutes later
The waiter came back with our food
Chase: "thank you"
Waiter: "still no luck?"
I shook my head
She stood me up... I was stood up... all this was for nothing...
Maybe she thought it was Tomorrow?
No. There's still hope. She could still get here. I'm not gonna lose hope now.
Waiter: "well I hope you enjoy your food"
Chase: "thank you. I'm sure I will"
I should just start eating.
Maybe she will get here before I finish my meal.
I started eating my small salad.
Time skip ⏭
1 hour later
I finished my salad a long time ago and she's still not here... you know... maybe she thought it was at 9.
There's no way she would do this on purpose. She's just late. I know it...
