"oh my God, i thought i lost you," eddie said as you cried some, rushing over to him with your sopping wet and covered in upside down funk body and fully embraced him. he held back onto you tightly, not wanting to let go of you once more.

you felt lightheaded, nodding to him as you slowly felt yourself slipping from his arms and he took notice. he fell down to the floor with you practically as he rest you in his lap, looking down at your stomach that had blood stains all over the shirt you were wearing.

you saw him reaching for the edge of the shirt as you shook your head, trying to stop him but he looked anyways.

"oh, shit, ______," he said, seeing your wounds. "oh shit, oh shit, oh shit."

you shook your head, grabbing his hand as you tried to move his hand away from it but he refused.

"_______, what the hell happened?"

"i was, i was going through the gate by no free will at all," you said, your eyes looking up towards the ceiling as eddie stared down at you. "and, and a bat thing came and i thought i could fight it off but two more came, then another, and another."

eddie shook his head, feeling like he was going to lose you.

"it's not that bad, is it?" you asked, your hand reaching down to it but eddie shook his head, taking your hand in his as he looked down at the badly bleeding wound you had.

nancy, steve, robin, and dustin came rushing over to where you two were as they all felt sick, each having some sort of small wounds of their own.

"eddie," you said softly, your eyes avoiding his but now looking at him. he nodded, paying attention. "am i going to die?"

he shook his head.

"no. no way. you're going to see me graduate next month, and you're going to ace your finals before applying to your dream school. you're going to achieve so many great things, ______," he said sweetly, seeing nancy handing him several ripped pieces of t shirts.

steve helped him wrap it around your stomach to stop the bleeding and you could feel yourself becoming more light headed. when they finally finished wrapping your wound, you looked up at eddie who was running his fingers through your hair.

you studied the look on his face as your bloodied hand reached for his. he felt it, looking down at you with such a heartfelt cry from internally that you felt yourself wanting to cry.

"thank you," you said softly, closing your eyes slowly as eddie began to panic.
-

it was suddenly warm when you woke up and you realized you were now in eddie's trailer with the gang surrounding you. eddie was still holding you in his lap, his hands resting on you in a gentle manner. you began to sit up, but he realized you were awake and wouldn't allow it.

"hey, hey, hey, take it easy, princess," he muttered as you sat up still, just slowly, as you leaned against his chest. you closed your eyes, nuzzling your head underneath his chin as you tried to not think about what had happened. "i've got you. we thought we lost you there."

you didn't say a word, just sitting there with your head underneath his chin as you rest peacefully and feeling completely safe. your hand was still covered in your dried blood and your stomach was hurting from the bites.

"what exactly happened, ______?" steve asked gently as you felt a couple of tears roll down your cheeks.

"i got separated," you responded to him, wincing from the pain in your stomach as eddie stood up to let you get some space.

"how did we get separated from you?" nancy questioned.

"i came into the gate last," you muttered, shifting slightly as your stomach pained from movement. "and not by my free will mind you. the bat things attacked me as soon as i got in."
