"is it already nine?" you muttered, nestling your head back in the crook of his neck as he laughed, his hand resting on your back. eddie sighed, observing you for a moment before the alarm clock went off once more. he shut it off as you shook your head. "don't even think about it, munson."

he sighed, pressing a kiss to your head before climbing out of the bed as you groaned, pulling the blankets over your head. eddie chuckled, pulling the blankets back as he smiled sweetly at you, his fingers brushing some hair out of your face.

"no need to cover up that beautiful face of yours, okay? i'll be back in a few hours," he replied. you turned to be on your back now, staring up at him as your sleepy eyes observed his. you smiled to yourself.

"well, leave me with something to dream about," you muttered as he smiled, leaning down and pressing his lips to yours. you slowly slid your hands up to be around him as he let go, his eyes observing yours sweetly.

"alright, alright, come on, i have to get going," he muttered, trying to escape your grasp but you shook your head, sitting up with him as you still held onto him.

"________, you'll see me soon, just get back to sleep, okay?" he briefly pressed a kiss to your lips once more before feeling your hands slipping off of him. he stood up, walking over to grab his jacket as you watched him walk to the doorway and stop. he turned around to see you still staring at him, leaning back on your palms. without telling you, he walked back over to you and abruptly pushed his lips onto yours as you smiled into it, sighing.

he let go as his thumb gently rubbed your cheek, feeling you smiling as your eyes stayed closed.

"you know i'll always come back to you," he muttered,  pressing one last kiss to your lips before standing up and walking out the door and you heard the trailer door close. you smiled to yourself still, laying  back on the bed as you tried to get back to sleep.
-

you woke up a few hours later to the door of the trailer opening as you yawned slightly, turning your head to check the time. it was about five o'clock in the morning as you turned your head back to the doorway to see if eddie was coming back. you didn't see him yet so you laid back down, closing your eyes.

somebody's hands shaking you caused you to jump as you instinctively hit the person in the arm.

"jesus! you scared me!" you told him as he smiled, laughing slightly. he kicked his shoes off, pulling you eagerly into his arms as he began showering you with kisses.

"mhm, okay, munson," you laughed, nestling your head back in the crook of his neck. "i'm tired."

"i'll hold you all morning until you wake up then," he muttered, keeping you close as you instantly fell back asleep in his arms. he always knew the way to comfort you and keep you safe, and you loved him for it.

"so, _______, you stayed at eddie's last night?" dustin asked the next day at school.

"what are you talking about?" you asked, trying to make it not obvious that you were dating him. the two of you were keeping it a secret for now, hoping that it would last longer than a month or two. it was more of a safekeeping secret so that you wouldn't have to tell all your friends about it.

"well, the reason why i ask is because what is that thing on your neck?"

"what?" you asked, spinning around as you tried to cover it with your hair.

"i'm just wondering! harrington had a date last night, were you that date?"

you shook your head. "no, i just hit my neck with my straightening iron, that's all."

dustin furrowed his eyebrows.

"mhmm, of course you did," he replied as you nodded, trying to get his mind off of the subject.

"what? i did!" you said back as dustin shook his head.

"no, look, _______, there's no way that that's what this is," he replied, turning to face you more clearly. "i mean, max says that she sees you driving out of her neighborhood constantly. so, what's really happening?" he asked.

you looked at him with a blank stare before sighing, standing up with your trash to leave the cafeteria.

"talk to eddie," you muttered, leaving the room.

dustin stared at you as you left the table, somewhat confused but hoping to talk to eddie later, like you said, in order to get more details. something was happening between the two of you, he just knew it. and he would figure it out.
