the pep rally was here, but you couldn't stop thinking about the look that gareth had given you much like the look that mike gave you. walking through the hallways of school the next day, you were utterly distracted by the thought of gareth and mike sharing the same look towards you when you already had a boyfriend. you pushed open the gym door with your hand as you looked up to see a space between dustin and jeff. you sighed, taking it as the best option.
you began to head over to the open spot in the bleachers but felt somebody's hand on your shoulder which caused you to look up.
"hey, everything okay, ______?" chrissy asked as you nodded, giving her a brief smile.
"yeah, everything is fine," you said, looking back over to the space between dustin and jeff. dustin was now looking over at you, confused as to why you weren't joining them at the spot in the bleachers. you looked back over at chrissy.
"you know, i shouldn't really tell you this," she said, leaning a little closer to whisper it to you so that nobody would be able to hear the two of your conversation. "but eddie munson sells drugs and maybe they could help you out with whatever you're struggling with."
you felt your heartbeat speed up as you looked towards the rest of the cheerleaders coming out from the doors behind chrissy.
"yeah, thanks, i'll think about that," you told her, giving a thin lined smile as you walked past her and up the stairs of the bleachers. she watched you go, confused. when you arrived at the space between dustin and jeff, you set your bag down and let out a heavy sigh.
"why were you talking to chrissy cunningham?" he asked.
"chrissy and i always talk to each other," you replied, crossing your arms as you looked out into the main part of the gym, waiting to see the basketball team come out from the doors on the opposite side of the gym.
"since when?"
"since this year, why does it matter?" you said sharply.
"jesus, sorry," he said as you let out a sigh, looking down towards your shoes.
"it's not you, i'm sorry. i'm just going through a lot mentally," you apologized, thinking about it all still.
"do you want to talk to me about it?" he asked.
you shook your head, hearing the airhorn blast as the team came out of the doors. you watched them before you suddenly realized that now was the perfect time to talk to him.
"do you know where eddie is?" you asked dustin as he shrugged.
"i don't know, maybe he's out at the soccer field or something. why?"
you shook your head, grabbing your bag and using him as somewhat of a boost to get out from the bleachers. he just cocked his head in confusion, watching you leave the gym and going out the side door.
-
you walked outside, searching for eddie. you looked towards the soccer field and didn't see him, walked over to the fence to look into the woods and didn't see him. it was pouring rain and your eyelashes were wet and it was making it hard to see further than the rain though.
you turned around, about to go back inside. you were heading under the covered part of the back doors as you felt two hands spin you around. you screamed a little, backing into the covered part of the doorway to see eddie coming under the spot with you.
"what the hell, eddie," you said, shoving him back slightly as you shook your head, wringing your hair out before finally meeting his eyes. you stared back at him, tossing your hair over your shoulder. "i need to talk to you."
