"Impossible! Their first time at the training ground for the fight against the titans and he's the best right away?" Theia listened to the admiring responses from the crowd of scouts. Levi, Furlan and Isabel jumped down and landed side by side on the ground without a single problem. All with enough points for destroyed mannequins representing titans.

"What do you say boss?" Furlan waved at the approaching Theia with a big smile.

"Boss?" She frowned in slight surprise. She immediately remembered her father's request and forced a sweet smile. "I mean. I knew you were good, but I have to admit that I didn't expect this," she tried to find the most suitable words.

"We're glad to have impressed you," Furlan continued amiably. Levi rolled his eyes, turned and went to sit on the nearest bench. He pulled a towel from his pocket and began to clean his blades. Theia stared at him in surprise. "That's our excessively clean Levi. When you spend your whole life trying to survive in the shitty underground, you can't be surprised," Furlan pointed out in his defense. Theia looked into his eyes with understanding and smiled.

"Are you getting used to it?" She blurted out the first thing that hit her tongue.

"I guess everything under sky is better than down there," he laughed, running his hand nervously through his hair.

"Melee training will begin in a moment. Theia, do you want to be my opponent?" Isabel, who everyone had forgotten, forced herself into their conversation.

"I don't think that's a good idea," she patted her head.

"How long are you all going to look down on us?" Isabel snapped at her, offended.

"That's not what I meant, but..."

"You don't have a chance against Levi, no one here..." Furlan covered her mouth so she wouldn't reveal more about them and smiled.

"How about against me?" He suggested and she shook her head again.

"I'm no cadet in training Furlan..."

"Theia is going to beat up the underground guy! I have to see that!" One of the guards started and the other cadets crowded around as if on command.

"No one goes to beat up anyone!" Theia tried to get out of this situation.

"Man, what do you want to write on the tombstone?" Furlan began to slightly regret his decision, but his curiosity forced him to stand in front of his opponent, ready to fight. Theia licked her lips and shook her head in disbelief. She took off her jacket, which she threw on the ground and faced Furlan.

"Do you really want this?" She asked him and he hesitantly nodded. Theia clasped her hands together. She held out her left hand in front of her with an open palm, fingers pointing upwards. She bent her right elbow and clenched it into a fist just next to her ear. She gently spread her legs and bent her knees. She turned her left palm and indicated with her finger that she was waiting for his attack. There was a grave silence. Furlan did not allow himself to be persuaded and ran towards her. He readied his hand for an attack and aimed his fist at her head. Theia dodged his attack by ducking her head a few centimeters. She turned around on her own axis and almost danced back a meter backwards. Furlan turned and stared at her in surprise. It was obvious that he did not expect such a thing. Theia took her unconventional stance again and smiled. "Are you done yet?" She asked him provocatively. Furlan cleared his throat awkwardly and ran towards his opponent again. This time he aimed for the neck. Theia backed up slightly, turned her left arm, and slammed her elbow into his wrist. She grabbed him with her other hand and again elbowed him in the groin in the forearm. Furlan hissed softly and winced in pain. Theia took advantage of this and kicked him in the groin from the inside of the knee with all her strength. He almost fell to the ground, but he skillfully caught himself with his free hand. He spin around and tried to kick her, but she noticed it and jump backwards, watching as Furlan immediately got back to his feet. She ran towards him before he could recover and showered him with quick blows that he barely managed to block. She bent to the ground, tripped his legs with a precise blow to the knee, and this time he fell to the ground like a pear. She kicked him in the ribs once more time. She raised her leg high and he knew that he would not eat for the next few days after this blow. He closed his eyes but the blow did not come. When he carefully opened them again, he noticed Thea's leg just above his body, which Levi is holding by the ankle. They stared at each other with anger. Theia pulled back and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She was breathing fast, but after noticing the stunned audience around them, she walked over to the still lying Furlan and helped him to his feet.
