Levi exhaled and fell to the chair with the elbow over his face. He didn't want to allow her to see him in such a state. Never. His whole body was still shaking, and the muscles continued to send painful impulses that forced him to bury his nails deep into the chair. But he didn't dare to rest for a long time and stood up to collect pieces of the cut lady's body. He put them into a bag and pulled out the pricked daggers from the wall. He caught her falling body, which he wrapped in a bedsheet. He cleaned blood, rolled up a carpet which he added to the corpse. Then he carefully moved the coffee chest of drawers to cover the bloody spots on the wall and open the window to clear the air. He threw Lorelei's body out and also jumped as soon as he took his jacket. He pulled Miss Lorelei far into the forest, where he set the fire together with carpet. He sat down near the fire and waited for her body to turn into ashes. He looked into the flames while the memory of Theia, who aggressively cut the fingers, appeared. He wiped out his sore eyes and picked up the pieces of bones that he threw into the river. He went back to the city, directly to the entrance to the underground, where the irritated guards let him for a small bribe. He didn't know where to look for her, but he took advantage of the fact that he was still wearing guardian clothes and, using his irresistible persuasive abilities, so he got needed information very soon. He stopped in front of, at first sight, an abandoned building where he entered. Right at the entrance, the gun-barrel appeared near his head.
"Gosh, let him be!" Lahja called in a high voice and reached Levi. She hit the guard in the ribs while Levi watched her in surprise. "I like to see you again," she smiled kindly. "I'll take you to the boss. She is already waiting for you," she waved her hand to indicate him to follow her. Together they walked through a hiding place where many dangerous looking men and women were wandering around. He ignored their hate expresion and looked at the structure of the building. The windows were blocked, lighting was really sporadic, and many armed guards stayed on every corner, protecting strategic, escape exits. Lahja opened the door to a bigger room that served as Theia's office. There were many books, nothing else he expected of her. Furthermore, a large number of strategic documents, maps, weapons and various combat or spy equipment.
"You decorated this place nicely. Are you going to stay here? " He asked in a sarcastic voice Theia, who discussed new plans with Asher. He frowned after he saw him standing so close to her. Her gaze broke away from the map and turned sharply to his voice. She exhaled with relief.
"Levi," his name from her mouth warmed his soul, but he waited more. He didn't expect her to throw into his arms or hug him firmly and kiss him. But she didn't even smile at him. She didn't do anything. The only thing he felt was an unbearable headache and frustration that became a part of him. Theia returned her attention to Asher and their plan. Lahja jumped up and sat on the table and Levi walked over to them. He looked over her shoulder on the map of the underground city, and what Asher didn't miss was that Theia didn't respond in any aggressive way to Levi's sudden presence, like to him. "So four gangs. How many people is it? " Theia asked and caught the glimpse of Levi's steel eyes.
"I think it's about one hundred people. After Aldrik's death, chaos started again. Some gangs took Zachary under himself and swore that he would get you, for which Marybell promised him a permanent position and financial support," Asher explained, and circled known shelters of the groups that joined Zachary, into the map.
"And tomorrow their efforts will multiply," Theia said mysteriously. Asher looked at her with a question in his eyes. "Twenty percent of their wealth is credited to Tod Sixyp,"
"Who is it?" Asher raised his eyebrows in surprise, and Theia wrote down the name: Tod Sixyp.
"Read it from the back," Levi raised his eyebrows in amusement.
