She stopped in front of a low panel house and looked into the second floor window, where there was light. She lowered her gaze and uncertainly entered the dark entrance to walk up a few stairs. She stopped in front of the door and suddenly didn't know what to do. She reached out to knock when she realized it was stupid. She reached into her pocket and used the key to unlock the front door, but immediately after opening it, she was surprised by a pleasant smell. She was standing in the doorway looking nervously into a room, she hadn't seen in weeks when Levi came out of the kitchen wearing an apron. She immediately put her hand over her mouth to stop her laughter.

"What does that mean?" She asked, still smiling, but Levi's gaze remained serious. He watched her as if he didn't even believe that she had actually come. "I'm home," she breathed and put her jacket on the hanger.

"Welcome," Levi addressed her in a soft voice as she closed the door and walked into the living room where she found the table set with the special tablecloth and candles.

"You really didn't have to do that,"

"But I had to. You spoiled me with your perfect cooking and care. Sometimes I have to do something for you, too. Jean wrote me a recipe that his mother used to cook for special occasions, it should be good," Theia raised an eyebrow in surprise as she watched Levi pull the baking out of the oven.

"Did you ask Jean for the recipe?" She asked, amused.

"So what?" He didn't notice her inquisitive look or how she smiled proudly at Levi, being himself again in a team where he felt comfortable. She sat down at the table and waited for Levi to place a plate of luxurious looking food in front of her. He removed the cloth from his head and put it aside along with the apron. He poured fragrant, mint tea for both of them and sat down at the table himself. "I hope you like it," he remarked, tentatively picking up his cutlery to cut off a piece while nervously watching Theia put a bite into her mouth. She smiled and a huge stone fell from Levi's heart.

"It's delicious," she assured him, after which he put the food in his mouth himself, but he froze in shock.

"There is a taste of wine," he said in surprise. "Jean told me it would disappear while cooking!" He stood up abruptly. "Don't eat it!" He walked around the table to take the plate from Theia's hands.

"Come on, Levi, stop! Jean was right, the alcohol has all disappeared and only the taste remains!" She was reaching for the plate, but Levi wasn't going to give up and was particularly lying on the table.

"Give it to me!"

"Not!" Theia protested and reached her fingers to take a piece of meat which she stuffed into the mouth. Levi pushed her away from the plate with his palm, causing her to fall back into her chair and then, she started laughing uncontrollably. "If you could see yourself," she wiped her mouth from the sauce, while Levi sat down in a chair unhappily. "There really isn't any alcohol left, give it back to me, so I can eat it," she asked him, still tormented by laughter.

"I'm cooking something for the first time and it turns out like this," he stated disappointed and put the plate on the table to reach for the mug with tea, from which he drank.

"Don't talk nonsense. After all, it's delicious," Theia pulled her plate back to her so she could continue eating. "Don't be so harsh on yourself," she added with her mouth full and lovingly looking around their apartment. "You were right, it's nice to be home," she looked into Levi's serious face. "What are you thinking about?" She put down the cutlery and drank the delicious tea herself.

"Over what you talked about today. About Hanje and her family. I've never heard any of that, and I knew little about your father's past, too, and I don't even think about knowing anything about you," he sipped again.
