"So. If you have a plan, now is the right time," Levi spoke after a while. Theia thought about it. She settled down and put her thumb nail to her mouth. She replayed their entire previous conversation in her head.
"Do you have any old clothes or sheets?" She asked him after a minute. Frowning, he turned and walked into the next room. After a short time, he returned and threw a smaller pile of older cloths next to her.
"What do you want to do?" He asked her interested. Theia tear apart the fabric and smiled.
"I'll spy a little bit," she replied playfully, and Levi knew he wasn't going to like the idea.
"I ask again, what do you want to do?" He repeated his question. Theia chose some fabrics and began to mask herself.
"That source of yours said the big Rat had opium from above. It's actually clear, no plant grows without light and that he likes women. I'll go in, find out where he gardened the opium and who's supplying him, and then we'll destroy it from the inside without anyone getting hurt," she explained her plan to him.
"Except you, who will be killed," Theia rolled her eyes. "Mr. Ackerman! I have to inform you that I have been doing this work since I was fifteen years old!" She raised her index finger to him.
"And how long is that? Since yesterday?" Theia growled and turned to continue her with her work. Levi walked over to her and tore the sheets off her.
"What are you doing?!" She defended herself.
"Let's think of something else!"
"So, surprise me and propose anything?!" She backed away from him. Levi stared into her eyes in silence. Theia exhaled. "Look. It's not the first time I'm going to do it, and I don't think it'll be the last one. I'll go there to collect some information, and when I get it, I'll sneak out unnoticed. You will wait here in the case something bad happened," she tried to explain the situation.
"So, I can go from the start," Theia rolled her eyes.
"How about to try believe me?" Levi stopped and paused. He didn't like to trust anyone. Theia took the cloths from his hands.
"I don't want you to go there," he said in a low voice, her heart-beats stopped for the moment.
"Don't say anything like that again or I won't be able to go there," she whispered, adjusting the rest of her mask. She took some old soot from the fireplace to dirty her face and dissolved her hair, which she scattered over her head and braided into an unkempt braid. She turned to Levi and he frowned in disgust. She laughed. "Where is his headquarters located?" She asked calmly.
"If it hasn't changed, it should be at the end of town. I'll take you there," he added resignedly. They walked together again through the streets of the still silent city. "I'll come with you," he said quietly.
"Everyone knows you," she added and ran slightly to catch up with him. He stopped her just before the great wall, outside the gate of the big house. A guard of two men stood in front of it. Thiea turned away and took a breath. She closed her eyes and when she opened them again, she saw Levi looking at her. She smiled shyly and decided to step forward, but Levi pulled her into his arms. She didn't even move in surprise.
"Don't try to die," he whispered into her ear. Theia pulled away from his embrace.
"Wait for me," she let go of his hand and walked towards the gate where many lost existences lay. She stopped right in front of the guards, who just looked at her and immediately turned away. She continued towards the entrance. She went inside where more guards were waiting.
