Avoiding every window, she almost ran towards the ground floor, checking her weapons behind her belt and also under her knee. She crouched by the door when she heard the sound of heavy feet hitting the stairs. She carefully removed the long, thin pin from her hair and aimed it upwards towards the first man in her sight. She threw it and hit directly to the forehead. The guy fell to the ground.
"Fuck!" The one who was running next to him creamed, crouching next to the corpse. They ran angrily through the door and she stabbed another to the heart still hiding herself. She moved his body in front of her as a shield to prevent attacks from his colleague. She pulled out a knife, turned herself, kicked him in the neck with her foot and turned again to gain speed and cut his throat. Another dead. She backed up and got into a fighting stance. Two - four. It's alright. She thought and ran towards her opponents who charged at her. She jumped up and kicked the first one in the chest. He fell to the ground, she turned on her heel and elbowed another in the chin. She drew her dagger and threw it at the third, who immediately fell to the ground. She shot out her palms and hit the man to the chin with one well-aimed blow under the ribs. He fell to his knees and broke his ligament. She quickly dodged the knife's stab, kicked the weapon out of his hand, spun in the air, and kicked him in the face with her other leg. He fell to the ground and another long needle pierced his arm. He yelped in pain and Theia stood up to look into the eyes of the man who was slowly rising from the ground. She deflected his punch by gently deflecting his trajectory, but it didn't throw the warrior off balance and he grabbed her by the shirt. Theia grabbed his arm, pulled him to her, and kicked him in the stomach with her knee. She twisted his arm, kicked him one last time in the ribs as he lay on the ground. She pulled out a knife from under her knee and plunged it into his heart. She exhaled and looked behind her to see a man writhing in pain with a needle in his wrist. She walked up to him and stepped on the needle from the other side without any feeling od pity. She leaned over him.
"Where's Stownes," she asked simply.
"You can search over all rooms, he's not here anymore," he smiled and Theia bit her tongue.
"You know boys, if you were just stealing horses, you wouldn't end up like this," she pulled her leg back and knelt down next to him. "But trade with organs? Won't it cross the line even for you?" She asked calmly, taking the needle out of his hand to stick it again in a different place. The man cried out in pain. She pressed her knee into his stomach to hold him to the ground. "I have a bad feeling that nobody wants to cooperate with me today," she said. "Do you know how many lives you are responsible for?" The man laughed.
"Lives? Those people from the street are living corpses. They could also thank us that at least they will be good for something after death..." Theia angrily kicked him in the face. "You're a psychopath!" He added between sobs.
"At least we have something in common," she added, taking out the needle one last time to stabbed it into the main artery in his neck. It was over in a few seconds. She stood up and blankly looked around the corridor full of bodies. With the last of her strength, she dragged them into one of the empty rooms and closed the door behind her. With slow steps, she reached the kitchen, where she washed her hands and put some fruit and bread on the plate. She went back to the room replaying the events of the last few hours. They have to get out of here before the others come. Levi could be in a danger. She sighed and entered the corridor of the floor where their room was located. From a distance, she noticed a shorter figure standing in their doorway. She walked closer and gasped when she saw Levi, leaning the back against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest. He was frowning. He bounced off the door and stood right in front of her.
"And now, you explain me what the heck is going on here," he challenged her, and she noticed the receptionist lying on the ground just behind him with a gun in his hand. She looked terrified into Levi's eyes.
