Theia got some treatment of her leg again, while Dot Pixis come to visit her.

"I wanted to congratulate you to a successful mission," she looked towards the door where her commander was standing.

"I don't know if we can call it successful," she whispered quietly.

"Because of the information you got we stopped a major opium cartel, you should be proud," he smiled and sat down in the chair next to her bed. Theia nodded softly. She hypnotized the man lying a few meters away. Pixis registered her gaze. "Your father was right. Bred has valuable information for us, if we provide him protection, he will tell us where the remaining cadets are," he said calmly looking out the window.

"I know more effective ways to get information of someone," Pixis frowned.

"Theia, I think we are putting too much pressure on you," Theia looked at him in surprise. "I want you to became a captain," he continued.

"What's the point?" she tried to hide her anxiety.

"You will have more competence and, above all, a nice salary," he smiled. "I need you more by my side beautiful," he laughed. Theia had known him long enough to know his sense of humor. "I would like you to rest. That's an order," he became serious and stared at the brown-haired cadet, who she still kept her eyes on.

"How long will the members of the scout unit be here?" She asked curiously.

"I invited Shadis and Erwin for a drink and a game of poker. So probably until tomorrow morning," he smiled mischievously.

"You want to promote me to make more money and pay off all my father's debts because of your never-ending gambling, right?" she frowned with a soft, sarcastic smile.

Pixis laughed out loud and stood to leave.

"Even if he gave me his full salary every month, he has no chance of paying me back," he laughed all the way as he left the infirmary. "Theia, don't be so hard on your father. I think he's going to need you more than he wants to admit," he said just before closing the door behind him. Theia shook her head in disbelief.

The entire area and the infirmary were slowly engulfed in the evening gloom. Theia, sitting on the bed, was still hypnotizing the figure lying a short distance away. Only the two of them were lying in the infirmary. She walked quietly to his bed. She watched him as he began to shiver of fear. She stopped only a few centimeters from his bed with a stony expression at her face. He didn't look in her eye, he was too scared to do that. She ran her fingers over the white sheets, slowly going around the bed.

"Simon's face smashed against the stone path. Her brain was leaking out of her head, and the look of despair she had will be written in my eyes forever," she said in a deep, ice-calm voice. Bred's pale face began to sweat. He closed his eyes tightly. "They beat me, drugged me and wanted to rape me. While the guy who went to help me had his house blown up. And that's not the end yet because Rat was just a little mouse in the dump," she knelt down next to his head, looking absently in front of her. Her eyes were engulfed in darkness with the expression of a madman. "Tell me, how many lives you were willing to give for that drug. How many cadets, children,...hmm? How much opium did they give you for Simon's life? How much for mine?" she whispered in his ear. Bred widened his eyes and stared at her shakily. She was smiling and he was afraid to even blink. "Look at yourself. You've been doing this job longer than me and look where you are now," she measured his state with her gaze.

"You think you're a hero Theia? That you have no weakness? People are not perfect! I'm weak! Yes I'm! Just kill me, I can't live with myself anyway!" He screamed at her full of agony. Her eyes fell on the vase of flowers he had on his bedside table. She poked to it. Bred watched the fall to the ground with startled eyes. The floor was filled with shards mixed with water and fallen flowers.
