"Commandant Smith! Titans broke through the gate of Shiganshina. The whole city is under massive attack, and the majority of military garrison members are dead already!" Erwin's stone face turned into a shock, and Levi, who stood behind him, turned sharply, with horror in his eyes.
"Levi, get rea..." Erwin failed to express his order, and Levi had already run over the cadet who reported this terrible news. He aimed to the armory as fast as he could, where he undressed his gear a few moments ago. He left the hospital and didn't bother with the horse. Using the equipment, he moved to the wall of Maria and, after he jumped on the top, he watched the tragedy taking place under his feet. Most of the city was devastated and at first look it seemed that there were over thirty titans in the district and others were coming. He headed right to the base of the military garrison, but he saw from a distance that the building was destroyed already. At the speed of light, he killed two titans who moved around and hit the ground. With a nervous gaze, he watched the wrecks of the building and felt like his knees and hearts fall apart at any moment. His eyes fell on the small garden of herbs, which was also destroyed by the attack.
"Captain Levi!" He turned to the frightened Riko, who was injured, but seemed okay.
"Theia ..." he said almost immediately.
"She wasn't in the building,"
"And where is she?" He realized that his voice was more desperate, as if he wanted to admit.
"She gave an order for the evacuation of the civilian population. I saw her to help, probably she will be at the gate," he looked around. So many of the military garrison members lay dead around the gate or under the ruins of the former base. He returned his gaze to Rico, who held the injured shoulder. "I will be fine," she assured him, and therefore he fired anchors into the air and aimed to the wall of Mary. On the way he killed as many titans as he could, but it seemed to him that is already late. The city fell. But his heart started pounding when he noticed the reflection of her red hair from a distance.
"Captain, we have to close the gate!"
"Not yet,"
"But..."
"I said not yet!" She led the evacuation at the gate, when she finally noticed Levi in the air, who attacked a Titan's napes at an incredible speed. She was always listening to how skillful and strong Levi was, but today she could see him for the first time with her own eyes. He was approaching her, and she had no opportunity to watch his speed of killing the giant monsters. But her gaze froze. Levi didn't miss it and turned around in the air. The new titan, different from others, appeared behind the broken gate. Its eyes were shining and it bent down to the ground as if it was preparing to sprint. It started to run and Levi's eyes widened. He never saw something like that before. Titan ran straight to them, quickly and fearlessly.
"Captain, we have to close the gate right now, otherwise it will get through!" Using the equipment, Theia jumped on the top of the gate and pulled out the swords to cut the ropes, leading to the iron chains responsible for keeping the gate in the air. It fell to the ground, crushing the screaming people who were just trying to pass the gateway. Levi turned and flew directly to the Titan. He pulled out a new blade, ready to attack. He got to his neck, bounced off the building once again to gain speed and hit its nape with his whole force. But to his huge surprise, his swords broke under the pressure. He immediately pulled out new blades in disbelief and tried it again, but with the same result. Theia watched helplessly as the pieces of Levi's weapons flew around him. Titan continued to run fearlessly and approached the walls with a dangerous speed, smashing everything that stood in his way.
"No ..." she looked at the people she had killed with the idea of saving those who had already passed the gate. Titan devastated the last line of military garrison members and she could only watch their bodies crushed into dust.
